Are you sure? Are you saying it's Marshall because this particular example is the 1967 theme? Didn't Marshall come onto the scene around 1965? What about the 1958-1964 tune? Was Marshall around then when the theme music was composed? Please educate me.
About Wilson/Esquivel's Revue theme, it wasn't composed until 1960, and I've got proof in my DVD collection of classic TV. You won't find this on Cimarron City, Restless Gun, Wagon Train seasons 2-3, Alfred Hitchcock Presents seasons 4-5, etc.
@ShaDeed329 I thought it seemed more Jack Marshall-esque when they first updated the jingle in '65. Just hearing his orchestra on "The Munsters" is recognizable, heh. Nice mash-up.
This is likely replastered from one of the late 60s early 70s Revue/Universal bumpers while the longer variation that comes on after Amen is replastered over the Kayro-Vue/Universal logo still seen after "The Munsters".
The short version of the theme has only 3 notes with the rest of the 9 notes playing. This is only the extended one with 4 notes. The longest version is the 1958 theme.
This MCA-TV theme song melts my head away. What r the lyrics 2 that song?

No, you mean "Viva Marshall!"
ShaDeed329 3 years ago
Who's Marshall?
I'm referring to Juan Garcia Esquivel, the King of Space-Aged Pop who composed and performed the music that accompanies the Universal logo.
blizzy63 3 years ago
Esquivel and Wilson has nothing to do with this logo theme. Jack Marshall composed this.

Right. Wilson/Esquivel composed and arranged it.
Marshall re-arranged it.

There is an even longer version already on here
from the closing credits of Amen.

I know, that's MCA's standard version. This one has the 1967 Revue/Universal long version. All vary upon years.
