i own a 2010 3.0L turbo intercooler isuzu with manual transmission. A good friend and i were planning to do some racing. Men he drove a '92 ford ranger 2.3L. He blast me off with his 2.3 standard gas engine. No more isuzu for me. This thing is slow and sucks. I will try a nissan navara 2011 with the new changes like a 190 hp 2.5L turbo diesel (2010 old model was 175 hp with 2.5L) /or a 230 hp V6 3.0L turbo diesel. I hope this will soon learn the 2.3L ranger a lesson.
I knowndiesel is all about torque but is better a 2nd with 100hp then a 3rd with 110hp.
1st gear you insisted 4300 or 4200 rpm.to mutch power to none traction the trick is in the 2nd trust me.You can try pedal to metal start 4700rpm @0km and start with 2nd gear...clutch helping revs mantain 3900 rpm...go to 80km/h and shift 3rd.try that.you will do 9s.

Actually, it sounds very nice, and it is fast (same BHP as 2.0 16V, but much more torque)

Why should he do that? He shifts really well. The car is a diesel, and very high revving does'nt help in going faster.

loock 3rd to 4...4000 rpm...thats not good shifting i know about dieasel cars...but 4700rpm at least

It is acceleration 0-100, so i have shifted to 4rd at low rpm.

if u have time or want...try make a vid 0-100 using only 3rd gear...1st gear 4500rpm 2nd 4500 and 3rd to 100 ;) u will improve results
