Here I am sitting in Amsterdam sippin some wine and listening to BET YOUR SWEET BIPPY.....geez....does this ever bring back the memories.....a grateful amsterdam cheesehead says thanks for posting this!!
This song was indeed performed by the Wrest ... and written by John Hager of Milwaukee, WI. Interesting coincidence: John Hager's son is sitting with me right now as I type. We're watching reruns of Dexter and for some reason started thinking about this song. Thanks for posting!
THIS RECORD FIRST SHOWED UP ON MILWAUKEE, (WIS.) RADIO STATION WRIT 1340 AM (not FM) RADIO SURVEY OF 5-31-1969, DEBUTING AT #31. I HAVE AFEW WEEKS OF SURVEYS MISSING. BUT I KNOW IT REACHED #12 MAYBE TOP 10. I THINK THE WAS THE GROUP IS FROM THE APPLETON, WIS. ARCA.
Thanks for the post. The Wrest won the Wisconsin State Battle of the Bands in 1967 and took 4th in the national contest. The flip side of this was Hatfield Junction. We also recorded The Two of Us - Beatles - and Old Joe - Guess Who - at Columbia Studios in Chicago. Thanks, again. Check out our blog site.
Damn...One of my Dad's jazzy sayings .... Bet your sweet bippy or Kiss my sweet bippy..lol I love my Dad who is dying... : ( I think Ill call him now....
