@lukedee123 I think he doesn't simply say "the only way to get to the Father is through him" is because that is perhaps one of the rituals that can become empty if not deeply felt. Which is more important: the ritual statement "I accept Jesus Christ as my savior" or engaging in self reflection and dialogue to more deeply understand and follow the example of Jesus and feeling that sense of love? I'm a non-Christian and these videos help me understand the profound spirituality in Christianity.
@voightsan where was the Gospel in that message? He raises questions, but he never answers them with the Gospel... I don't know about heretic, but I do know that he doesn't take the opportunity to provide the only truth.. that God sent his son to die for us and the only way to get to the Father is through him. Why doesn't he just come out and tell it how it is?
I think it is easier to listen and remember when someone is speaking with a warm heart and a loving smile then have someone constantly yelling and pointing a finger.
Jesus kept his message easier to understand:
1. Love God
2. Believe in me and love one another
I listen to Jesus and Rob Bell helps remind us that Jesus came to save us, not to condemn. Love.
My relationship with God is not like a friend I see once a week. Its much more He is my Father who guides me with His will. God guide me in this life so I may do YOUR will. Rob's video is so relevant for all those who profess that going to church some how punches a time card that can be used to get into heaven.

Rob Bell either does NOT KNOW the Bible, or deliberately LIES!

why is he called a heretic?

unrelated to the content; the way his eyes darted back and forth gave me the impression that he was distracted, or he was reading off cards.
Either way, it was slightly distracting from an otherwise great message.

Rob is good. I'm not sure I'm on board with all that he says, but he's made an impact on me with the Nooma vids.
