I would never store knives loosely together, where they can rub up against each other. Mine are in an aluminum briefcase with foam insulation.

You can get a decent tool chest for about $150 at harbor freight. They will hold over 200 knives and all your sharpening tools.

I am using several means of storage for my knife colllection. Folding cases,roll-ups, tool boxes and shoeboxes. Too many knives now, I have to consolidate all my storage so I caneasilyget to the knivesIwant.

@lightnight3 Ah i know this one because that knife is handmade where i live its called a "sheffield nato knife" or an "amry clasp knife" the spike is for untangling knots they got the idea for the german paratrooper gravity knife witch had one in the side of the handle so paratroopers could untangle them selfs for trees
