The poor and minorites do not have a voice in America and never did so I feel the least we can do is give them something so that they wont have to suffer as much such as socialized medience. I just think America should really be ashamed of itself when it comes to Health Care issues. In America, many people here dont have health insurance and die because they dont have health insurance most of them being the poor and minorites. We have the highest infant morality and lowest low expectancy of all the rest of the developed nations but yet we are the richest country in the world, also most of these people are the poor and minorities.
@SapphireDiamond19 The US does offer a free health federal program to low income people. It's called Medicaid. And it is usually supplemented by State programs. And America's "highest infant mortality rate" is largly because the US uses the strictess guidlines.
Yeah but you seem to forget that the majority of these doctors do not accept Medicaid and they would still have to pay out of pocket for their health care. Even private insursers say that if you have a pre existing condition then health insurance wont cover for it because American Health Care is dominated by greedy corporations more concerned with putting money in their pocket then helping out the American people. Its because its a state ran health care payment system and when they treat the patient that has Medicaid, the state takes too long in order to pay the doctors for their services so thats why they dont accept Medicaid or Medicare. I am a Malaysian student studying in UK, I was hospitalised for 2 weeks last year at Royal Surrey Hospital due to sudden illness. The treatment was not only superb but beyond my expectation, even as non citizen they treated me as comrade. . . Thank God I choose to study in the UK and not America . . . now not only that I'm pro UK but I would bring my valuable experience to Malaysia. . . Pity my brother whom studying in America

This is really silly. Why don't they do a show about Heart disease or cancer. If I had a blockage, I would want that taken care of ASAP. My mom had several blockages and she was operated on in 2 days without ever leaving the hospital between the exploratory procedure and the bypass surgery. When all was said and done, she paid $10 for the initial visit to her Primary doctor and that was it. Of course, she had insurance.

I really can't show concrete evidence, but here's this: Who in the U.S. would want to see a supposed Communist country win (those countries that say they're communists mostly aren't, but yes in certain aspects)? In those countries, unlike the unites states the people also have better mental health. Im Canadian and the health care is great. Just some people will go in for a cut finger or a bump on their head because it doesnt cost anything. Also we are low staff. But i would rather have to wait 2 hrs then pay like some americans do.
I'm an American. I had to wait two hours the last time I saw a doctor. It's happened to me many times. Commercial health care doesn't do anything to reduce wait times.

Great video: The Mayo clinic is the best in the World, but only a few have access to that kind of care. For 39 million unisured Americans, and perhaps more than 100 million, maybe 200 million underindured Americans with limited insurance, bankruptsy due to health costs remains a threat. Health care costs is the #1 reason why American's declare bankruptsy. If we reform our medical care system and perhaps pay higher taxes we can take away this threat faceing so many Americans!

This is really silly. Why don't they do a show about Heart disease or cancer. If I had a blockage, I would want that taken care of ASAP. My mom had several blockages and she was operated on in 2 days without ever leaving the hospital between the exploratory procedure and the bypass surgery. When all was said and done, she paid $10 for the initial visit to her Primary doctor and that was it. Of course, she had insurance.

At the time, the Cuban hospital simply gave their paitent the best care, regardless of wether they could do the same five or ten years down the track...

Yeah, there's an interview with Moore conducted by Democracy Now's Amy Goodman where he explains how NBC first barred him for showing Cuba as the winner, then deceitfully edited Canada into 1st place before air time.

I have to say though, its totally deceptive to say that Cubans pay nothing. They're nearly fully taxed, so they pay for their medical service before their paycheck arrives, not at the hospital.

In those countries, unlike the unites states the people also have better mental health. The united states takes those billion that should go into health care, and shares it amongst a small top elite group of greedy monsters.

Im Canadian and the health care is great. Just some people will go in for a cut finger or a bump on their head because it doesnt cost anything. Also we are low staff. But i would rather have to wait 2 hrs then pay like some americans do.

My niece went to Cuba and told me that most "normal" Cubans do not get any type of health care, the hospitals were falling apart, no medical equipment or drugs. In fact the hospital asked if the patient has relatives in US so they can send them medical supplies. This video is a propaganda piece and NOT THE TRUTH.

unemployment rate is like 15 or 20% I personaly dont pay any taxes cuz im an expat. but ur right french taxes are tremendous, the more u earn the more u pay, my dad is an expat too so he doesnt pay any taxes but if he was he would be paying 70%!!!!! the challenge for french new president is indeed to reduce taxes while keeping social security intact. as a matter of fact the countrys debt is huge, i mean its like 400 billlion or so and thats what the US spent on the Iraq war...

Great video: The Mayo clinic is the best in the World, but only a few have access to that kind of care. For 39 million unisured Americans, and perhaps more than 100 million, maybe 200 million underindured Americans with limited insurance, bankruptsy due to health costs remains a threat. Health care costs is the #1 reason why American's declare bankruptsy. If we reform our medical care system and perhaps pay higher taxes we can take away this threat faceing so many Americans!

i thought america was a good place.. and people move here for freedom and all sorts of reasons.. i never thought the government would cheat its own people with the health care system and definately didnt think they'd lie and keep things away from the public!!! im not gonna live here when i grow up for sure. unless if they change their systems of running things
