I've actually never looked, so I can't say for sure. I have a suspicion that they're half-length resonators, but could be wrong. They could also be mitered at the base (or anywhere else) and folded over on itself, sort of like a pretzel. I've seen that done frequently with 16' and 32' reeds.
The Bourdon is a stopped flute, so low C is an 8' pipe which speaks at 16' pitch. Can flues be mitered? I've seen 16' principals "bent" to fit in a chamber, but I can't recall if that is called mitering or not. The 16' trumpet is either mitered or has half-length resonators - not sure which.
It's about time, and congratulations on a job well done. Well played and no, you didn't screw up at all. If you want to see/hear screw ups, just check out my videos where there are plenty of them. Personally, I liked what you did on the last stanza (it worked well), and this organ sounds bright and powerful for 9 ranks. Good job and post MORE!!!
Ha, thank you. I've got a couple more things planned on a different organ or two. But you're right, it does sound bigger than it is. The 8' Trumpet in the manuals, Great Mixture, and 16' Trumpet in the pedal all help with that.
Sewanee! C'00 I love it!
