  • he has been a pro since 1978!

  • This is beautiful! You can only feel for a man with such passion and respect. A humble man like this DESTROYS the image of a cocky bastard like Strickland.

  • Poor Ralf. Runner up twice in the WPC, first to Mika Immonen in 2001 then Ronnie Alcano in 2006. And he lost the US Open to Mika Immonen this year. Mika is my favourite player so I was thrilled that he won, but I feel so bad for Ralf, he's always so close.

  • Well, right now Alcano is fighting for dear life in the losers bracket and Ralph is on cruise control making his way to the hotseat. I have a feeling that Ralph is gunna win the U.S Open this year. If you only like Filipino players, Manalo and Van Cortezza are you're best bet.

  • Ralph is one of the greatest pool player that has walked God's green Earth

  • cool guy with soo much love for the game.

  • he lost the world final twice..

i like this guy more than hohmann

  • I think they didn't have the WPC this year cuz of sponsorship problems. Darryl Peach is still WPA Champ. Ralph has won everything else, all the more reason for him to want this title as well....

  • no doubt one of the best... Germany's Top Gunner

  • anyone who plays pool knows the amount of concentration is just incredible when playing for big money. and "concentration"n is this guys middle name. but pool would never be pool if there was no luck involved. he'l get em next time he jst stay consistent

  • You can only have the greatest respect for Ralf, I hope he wins it next year!

  • Great competitor. I'm an American so I don't get many opportunities to root for him (he's done his fair share of damage to the US in the Mosconi Cup). Good guy, even better pool player

  • The crowd was great during this. Very respectful and kind.

  • He has lost the finals for two times... First in 2001 against Finland's Mika "The Iceman" Immonen and in 2006 against Ronnie "The Volcano" Alcano... But he is agood player and you can see from his face that frustration... Anyways, for those people who've seen a great deal of his skills, he's a champion nonetheless.... Kudos to Ralf and to the Filipino crowd!!!

  • although ralf soquet lost in the finals, but in my heart he is always a champion! GO RALF SOQUET! =)

  • repsect..ralf is one of the best..

  • Ralf is a warrior :)

  • the filipino crowd is magnificent....kudos

  • Un gran caballero y pedazo de jugador. Grande Souquet

  • this is pool Mr.Ralf .. no one can stay on the top. good luck ...

  • wingapo ralph

  • Ralf is still one of the best. What dedication, passion and sincerity this man has for the game. Go Ralf!

  • A great humble player, and a great, appreciative crowd.

  • ralf is awesome...great player and person...he really puts his heart into these tournaments

  • ralf is great. plus the crowd, what a sign of respect from them. A filpino places first and during Ralf's speech they cheer for him. The people of the filipines are top notch.

  • humble and a great pool player ralf soquet, congratulations! we love you! see you again on the next WPC here in phil next year :)

  • Congratulations Ralf Soquet, you're a good sport and a great pool player. You're always welcomed in the Philippines.

  • Jetzt weiss man was der Mann seinen Sport lieben muss !

    Ein unglaublicher Kämpfer ...
