You can use different paints together. Typically, you want one to dry before you use different kinds. The negatives to not waiting until the paint is dry to paint more, is that you may get an unwanted "muddy" effect (which is where the colors of your paint mix and become muddy looking.
Also, if you use too much paint, or if you paint drastically different layers, you could get cracking in your painting.
This is amazing. I have watched a few of your videos, and you really inspire me. Some time soon, Im totally going to go buy some of this stuff, and then, your videos will be my teacher. :D
@couscousandhumus for acrylic you can use paint medium added to the paint to make it stay wet longer since acrylic paint dries so fast and maybe the water will create the same effect as she drags the fan brush across
@siljekjenes First, with acrylic paint, I faided green up to white. Then I washed over it with some blue oil paint. I made the top layer thicker than the underneath so that it would crack.
@Beatlesfan815 thins the paint, thinner paint always is applied over thicker oil paint otherwise the layer underneath cracks due to different drying times
the video would be better if there was music in the backround

what is negative if you use normal acrylic paints and painting even when other parts hav dryed?
mcdrummonkey 3 weeks ago 2
@mcdrummonkey By "normal", what do you mean?
You can use different paints together. Typically, you want one to dry before you use different kinds. The negatives to not waiting until the paint is dry to paint more, is that you may get an unwanted "muddy" effect (which is where the colors of your paint mix and become muddy looking.
Also, if you use too much paint, or if you paint drastically different layers, you could get cracking in your painting.
Don't worry too much.

@9serenity99 Exactly. The more water you use, the thinner the paint will become. SOmething to remember.

@couscousandhumus Like coucousandhumus said, usually water, but you can use a paint retarder or thinner.
