@geriger1 that's a nice thought, but ford's current mustang 8 cylinder gets 25 mpg which isnt half bad, and the v6 gets 31 mpg. while aston martin is known as one of the worst MPG supercar makers, getting between 11 and 17 mpg

A DB9 has valves in the exhaust that open at 3.000 rpm. So the sound you hear is due to exhaust modding.

@ChristopheBilliet Well not really... it came like that from the factory... just like the Mitsubishi 3000GT or Chevy Corvette. They all have that "mod." It opens up the exhaust at a higher RPM and gives it that sound... think VTEC for your exhaust.
