I dont know.. First I must be sure I've got all set up and running for the copper. It's really hard man. I've started with tin now I've made some stuff with Aluminum. I can't really melt copper with the "furnace" I've got. And by the way I'm on Brazil. Wouldn't be a bit expensive to ship it here? Thank you =)
@wilbeckj definitely, they work great, I have several. They sort about 5 coins per second / 300 a minute. It is done by metal detection... not just weight (Zinc 2.5 g, Copper 3.1g) I have a deal with the Federal Reserve and get coin in $50 bags, and by the pallet ($4,000.00) sent to my facility. I end up returning about 80% zinc pennies back into circulation. Most people find that for the time and cost savings, it is actually cheaper to just buy it from me, and help our charity as well.
@Zalamedas Yes, it is an ongoing process Right now we have over 1,000 lbs in copper cents, and wheat cents are mixed in (not sorted out), we ship in 50lb boxes, or local pickup at 84601 area
@omglmao12345 our intentions were to melt the metal inside the tin can (which has concrete lining it), however little to none of that melted so we threw some metal into the actual pit and that melted. We then dug it up after the coals ran out and there was a huge chunk of dried metal. next time i do a furnace i need to perfect my crucible so the metal will melt completely in it

Are you interested in accumulating large amounts of pre-1982 copper cents? I have the ability to produce 1 to 2 tons a month. Let me know.
