Go back to (Device Manager) and look for where it says (Ports) and update (Communications Port COM1 And Communications Port COM2). When you go to (Update Drivers) and go to (Browse My Computer For Driver Software) than click on (Let Me Pick From A Device List Of Device Drivers On My Computer) and than go to (Next). One other option that you can attempt to do is go to (My Computer) right click on it and go to (Properties). You will see at the very top it says (Tasks) click on (Device Manager) you will see near the bottom (Portable Devices) click on the (+) you look for where it says (Walkman) be sure that your mp3 player is connected to a (USB Port) so that it will be shown. Right click on it and try (Search Automatically For Updated Driver Software).

Another option is at the very back it says at the bottom (Digital Media Player) their is a small opening that says (Reset) you will need a (Pin) in order to reach the button. Due to it being frozen try to remove the (Battery) and put it back in. Unfortunatley finding a tool of which too remove those small screws is next to impossible. Try to use another (U.S.B. Cable) too see if that may work or attempt to see if it may connect to another computer.

Not certain if this will work, but sometimes if you go out in (Cold Weather) it freezes your Mp3 Player best not to use it in cold weather and keep it stored in a safe rather than carrying it in your pocket. You can try to (Uninstall) the (Guides) and (Application Setup) and (Reinstall) them. Before you do this copy the folder labelled (Install) and (Setup) these two folders will no (Re-Copy) when you (Re-Connect) your mp3 player.

Um i have this walkman, its very good and worth the money - though - i do really dislike the red case as it does look pink in the light, can anyone tell me if its possible to remove the red casing and place say the black case on, also where can i buy the black case sepratly if this is possible .. thnx :)

I think sony walkmans shit all over apples players & many others for sound quality but i wish sony would get a grip and start to support gapless playback for there players ,as it ruins mixes in electronic dance music. The X series walkman doesnt have it either !!! come on sony what are you playing at ?

you have to put i supplied software on your computer and transfer from windows media player by drag and drop and go to bbc iplayer.you must save to desktop via more downloads on portable devices,go to amazon .there is a good tutorial if you type in sony mp4.good luck

if you did not get it with the player you would have to go on to sony website and download content transfer manager

download replayer sp and there will be a box on every vid on the internet that says download

click that button then ther will be another box that comes up it will show that the vid is downloading after its done hit convert and ther will be another box that comes up it say what to convert it to click it and pick ZUNE.then it will want you to pick a file to put it in click one.Hit convert and wait for it to get done.Go into the file that you put it in and drag the video to the box that says walkmn

a lot of people have asked what to do when your listening to music, and it suddenly freezes and wont turn off. what you do? one, let the power die. too, hook it up to the computer. three, take off the most recent songs you put on it; that song may have a virus. four, let it charge, then ALL BETTER. if you drop it and you rmp3 player has a decolored spot, don't turn it off. let it sit there and little by little, the color will go back to normal. it worked for me.

I have a problem with the screen...

OK this is what happened one day I kept my Walkman in my pocket in school so I can listen to it in my free period. When I turned it on I couldn't see anything I put it under yhe desk and then I saw the songs... I tried to put the brightness on max but it didn't help... any one know how to fix it ? ?? I still can see but only in a dark area...

hey anyone. I've had my Walkman for about a year. and i never used it. i want to put music on it. i dragged music to my library and click the the sync icon while it was plugged in. It said no device detected, press F5. i did several times and nothing happened. how do you i get my computer to recognize my Walkman and allow me to put my music on it. plz reply ty.

Ok it is kinda hard to explain but you know that plug that comes with it the one with the flat thing at the end well you take that plug you hook the fat part to a part of you computer the other part to the bottom of your walkman then you shoould soo this little thing that has the walkman on it or something then you go on your documents go to video or music or whatever and drag on to that little screen thing that should work.....

Yeah, its because they were probably downloaded from Limewire. Tip for you, I think there's a program that automatically corrects any errors in the song information for Windows Media Player. Try looking for that.

you need to download a dvd ripper from the internet like magic dvd ripper (google it). you only need the free trial of the ripper otherwise it costs money. choose output format as mpeg4 with ratios of 320x240(so it fits the screen) then after the DVD is ripped find the file you selected to rip it to and click and drag to your video folder on the walkman

mope download WMP 11 from the disc, Download "youtube downloader", Download a vid, save it, convert it using "youtube downloader" to PSP Video MPEG4, once its done save it again, drag and drop the MPEG4 file tou you walkmans video folder n u r set
