  • I cashed out my small 401K of $3,300 and bought 11.5 ounces of gold at the time. The Tax penalty of 10% is nothing! We have to pay 7% in sales tax in Ohio now on Gold/Silver bullion and US coins. It's never too late to cash out your 401K or IRA. You will be impoverished if you don't buy tangibles instead. Get out of debt, purchase land you/property that you can largely sustain yourself on. Store everyday essentials you need to live(food, first aid, fuel, hand tools, alternate power source, water)

  • I have to agree. The Dollar is living on borrowed time. If you have ever seen a penny stock and graphed it from when it was worth something to when it bottomed out, that is the dollar's destiny under the present actions of our esteemed leaders.

  • hahah have no plans on retiring. Gen Y'rs will be working till we die.

  • I'm already figuring my mom is going to end up living with me in the next 10 years. Aware this was a really good video i was checking through your archive. Thumbs up.

  • The problem is my plan doesn't allow withdrawals except for hardship.

They allow loans up to $50,000 so I may take that, get some more PMs and pay back the original loan at $200 a week through auto-withdrawals.

I need an accountant huh - lol!!

    Love your vids btw :)

  • My plan won't allow me to withdraw MY money.

I can take a loan, but I'd have to pay it back with interest (3.25%0

Any creative ideas on how I can my money out?

  • @CJB425 We went ahead and took the hit on our 401k's. Penalty and all.

Figure it was better to do it than to take the dollar hit later. Just relaying what we did.

    Thanks!

  • @awarepatriot

"Hardship Withdrawals" are very limited and the only one I even had the possibility of using was a separation of service. Wellllll 3 days ago I got laid off. Now I'll cash out my 401 and take the penalty hit. Everything happens for a reason right :)

  • I am confused. If you don't have a 401k then what will you be living on as income when you need the money to come in to live? If you buy land then if you sell it you'll make money but then if you save the money to live on later what good would that be if money will be worth nothing. Are you saying to buy the land then wait for the New World Currency and then cell your purchases i.e. land etc?

  • @MsDezzyzRayz I suggest metals. 401k's are subject to currency crisis. Our dollar right now is in one, very low index. That's why the dow is going up, because the purchasing power of the dollar is less. Same reason gold / silver are so high. I'd completely invest in PHYSICAL metal. Then later you can sell of bits of the metal in pieces.

  • I am using my 401k to shelter the extra money I am making because of the tax consequences. I cashed out my stock options and I saw uncle sam take 40% of it. Not a happy camper about it but hey at least i have some extra cash coming back for more guns. LOL I would like to buy up some land where it ground can sustain me and my family. Gotta watch out for that radon gas and any mining or drilling activities that could - err will - pollute the water table.

  • I bet there will be a " 401K tax " Aka they take the stupid american's money to pay for there growing need for obama's 500 trillion dollar Fallout shelter or some shit

  • @MetalGear180 it's called Short term capital gains tax and sits at 40% plus the 10% penalty for early withdrawl.

  • good idea: start Chain Smoking Cigarettes NOW........so you will die before you go broke

  • @inkey2 HAHA, right. I have a great life insurance policy just for that reason. My retirment investments are nearly gone, so my plan is that I have a heart attacked around my retirement time so that at least my family will be taken care of. It's sort of a nice feeling, I just whatever I want not worring about the bad stuff that's in it.

  • @SouthernKudzu : yeah, live it up....cigarettes, bacon, big blocks of smoked cheese, home fries and eggs with plenty of salt and pepper, ICE CREAM.....the high fat content type, large Italian sausage, burgers and fries, unprotected sex with total strangers.......this will surely bring home our heart attack by 65 years old......and we will be as happy as a clam on our death bed

  • Obviously I don't always agree with what you say, but I very much agree with you on this. I have been investing in a 401K since I was 18, I'm now 43 and what I thought would be worth well over $1M when I retire is now looking much much less. I wish I would have bought land instead or gold instead. I'm leaving my 401K as is and looking into alternates for investment.

  • @SouthernKudzu A lot has changed since then. I have seen the most erosiong in our economy and standard of living during the past 10 years.

  • One day you will have a thousand dollars in the bank. The next day you will have 100 ameros instead. Explain it to your friends like that.

  • Smart man, agree with everything you said. Wish more Americans have that kind of insight. We're all in for dark days ahead of us.

  • I am of the opinion that 401k's and IRA's were a scheme from the very beginning to pump up the stock prices so that in the end all of it could be looted by the wall street crooks. With such stiff tax penalties they know people wont cash out. All a scam from the word go. My opinion of course!

  • Even if you contributed the money to your 401K "pre-tax", the taxes and early withdrawel penalties are not much worse than the usual tax rapings that our paychecks receive anyway as standard practice.

If there is even a hint of a "run on 401Ks", or the Banksters / Government freezing the funds, I will be yanking everything out of my 401K immediately, even with the 30% in taxes and penalties.

  • Better yank it now. The SEC implemented a Money Market Fund Manager's right to "freeze" withdrawals about 2 weeks ago.

    Handwriting on the wall, IMHO.

  • Good vid

  • The stock market is fixed, who wants to lock there money into a roulette wheel

  • Here's a hint. To whatever degree you think they can or will make something like Gold illegal to buy or own directly, this will be even moreso for guns, but I agree with you. Guns will always be a good investment, even if you have to sell them or move them at a black market level.

  • Right now, my only good option is simply to make the purchase of precious metals a lifestyle choice, but land is certainly a good option as well. The difference is that land costs far more to purchase than something like precious metals.

  • Retirement? lol Man I'm just hoping to survive this mess. I don't think "it" will be as disastrous as the doom crews do, but land and food are the only two absolute investments. But if you don't have your land paid for in full with an allodial title they will take it away in equity court or imminent domain when China renigs on all the liens.

  • Most old retires watch TV all day, and take naps!

  • The stock market is a Ponzi scheme. It only goes up if people keep pouring money into it. ANYTHING the goes up in price because of inflows of cash is a ponzi scheme. Better to have REAL TANGEBLES like gold, silver, food, land, etc. Its also better to be retired young, 20-50s and work when your old (you cant do shit when your old!) Old people cant walk, see, hear, smell, taste, etc! Dont be a FOOL believing that retiring in old age is a good thing!

  • I hear ya! 95% of my friends think i'm nuts talking about the dollar collapse. There is still a chance of hyper-deflation but it does not look like it from the way they are printing.

  • New Orleans

  • Jesus just left Chicago and he's headed for New Orlens!

  • If a 401k is valued in U.S. dollars, and the value of the dollar decreased 90%, wouldnt the value of the 401k increase 90%?

Every nation I know of uses fiat money, so does it really matter what you measure the 401k in?

Gold and silver is also valued in U.S. dollars. Would you say you shouldnt own gold or silver because if the dollar lost 90% of its value and the gold and silver thereby increased by 90%, that you shouldnt own gold or silver?

  • No, because many of the companies would fail miserably at 90%.

Gold and silver would increase in value. Face it, if the dollar loses 90%, it would be considered a collapsed currency.

  • God created the Earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Everyone knows that. Psalm 90 and 2 Peter say that 1 day to God is 1000 yrs to man. There are 4000 yrs from Adam to Christ, or 4 days. There are 2000 yrs from Christ to now, or 2 more days. The day of rest is explained in Hebrews ch4 as the 1000 reign of Christ. To get to that day all the end time stuff has to happen and this move to a one world govt is a huge part of it. The rapture will be soon and then the antichrist will come to power.

  • Lots of great points. Obama has already floated the idea of nationalizing 401Ks and IRAs so eventually this will happen. Your personal strategy should be predicated on why is this all happning in the first place? The global elites are collapsing the US to bring in a one world govt. So the US is not coming back. This is not a cycle. If you want to know how bad it will get or how complete our destruction will be read Zecheriah, Daniel and Revelation. This is a spiritual war primarily.

  • I completely agree!

  • I transfered my 401K into a Scottrade brokerage acct where I can invest in whatever I want. I can buy mining stocks, natural resources, agriculture,ETF's,etc, etc, etc.

For the time being I am invested partly in inverse ETF's short the S&P

  • Mining stocks would be the way to go. However, in my opinion, they are ask risky as comex gold & silver (paper promise notes).

So long as its in USD, I would not have any faith in it.... But we do our best :o)

  • People just DON*T WANT TO KNOW!?!?!?!?!

  • If anyone doubts that Medicare is going to fail, a simple investigation into the cost of fradulent claims will remove all doubt. Fraudulent claims will bankrupt Medicare.

  • I am going to be 48 this year. I have no Illusions that I will ever be able to retire. I will drop in the harness. In all honesty, with the way things are and the way things are going, I don't see how anyone has a snowball's chance of a "retirement" as it used to be - even those in their 20's and 30's. My plan is to work as long as I can, then do what I can on our homestead to support myself / ourselves. Maybe we'll be market gardeners in our "retirement".

  • retirement sounded boring to me anyways. Sit around and complain about stuff. Blah...I'd rather be around people.

  • don't knock it if you haven't tried it. I was luckey, and retired at 55 . I love every minute of it. Been retired for 2 years now. Going to do a little part ime work soon. Other than work, I just sit around and complain about stuff--wait--Where did I hear that??

  • @Michigansnowpony: Luckily we don't have to worry about that! My research tells me that the whole retirment thing was just a way to lull the last generation into complacency. Israel back in their land in 1948. That means Christ comes back in our lifetime. One world gov, RFID 666 chip, earthquakes, diseases, wars, drying up of the Euphrates, rise of homosexuality, famines, all end time signs. 1 Thessalonians: when they say peace and safety sudden destruction will come upon them! It's happening.

  • Yeah, that's in the back of my mind too.

  • Sounds like a good plan. For me I'm going to try to homestead earlier and not work for USD as I kind of already see it as a failed currency.

You are at a tough age because you are in the latter middle of prime working years. If you have a 401k and have had it for years, its hard to take the hit and change plans.

For me being (younger) I'm not putting anything into a 401k. Thanks & great comment :o)

  • " . . . you are in the latter middle of prime working years" -- watch it there, sonny. LOL Remember, age and craftiness will always win over youth and inexperience. wink!

  • I thought China was holding like 2 trillion of our bonds.

Anyway, the fact that the majority of Americans are either in sheer oblivion about what's coming or in denial is one reason -- probably the main reason -- why I'm expecting a very bloody second revolution. Joe Stack was just a precursor. Post-economic collapse will be comprised of Joe Stacks multiplied by millions with guns.

  • Sean, you can see exactly what China is holding. Google search this string: "MAJOR FOREIGN HOLDERS OF TREASURY SECURITIES". That crude text file you pull up is the real deal. China has begun their sell off.

  • I only have debt in/for my home. What do you think about not paying it off, but waiting for the devaluation of the dollar and pay it off with less valued dollars?? Any thoughts?? Great series keep them coming.

  • 401k is a joke. Land, silver, gold, staple foods, heirloom seeds, firearms, ammunition, solar energy, farming, and skilled trades are what we should invest in or we won't have a future.

  • Watch hgtv some time "international house hunters" yeah the rich are moving on out! For the money you get much larger properties here in the US but it's not stopping them from leaving. Everything in the US was only built to last 60 years if that, newer it is the cheaper it's built. A major infrastructure crisis is coming, it's all unsustainable.

  • it's dificult for old dogs to learn new tricks. I've been removing 401k money steady for a while. I plan on speeding it up. There's no light at the end of the tunnel, only doom and gloom. We are all being set up big time, and very soon, the exits will get crowded. whatever you're gonna do, do it soon. great video by the way. Sometimes, it hurts to hear the truth, but the truth is the truth.

  • What is a good firearms that will retain its value the most?

  • When I talk to friends, I ask them would they give a family of four, that makes $43K a year, a loan for 550K? Well, just add some 0's at the end of both those numbers and you have Govt Revenue and debt liability. Scary folks... :(

  • I cashed in my 401K right before the maket take a big dump in Sept 08. Payed off a bunch of bills, and keep my house even better stocket with food than before. Great video

  • I don't see many Americans dropping their stocks or 401k They will keep them on hope it will get better they don't want to accept the fact on how much they lost and will continue to lose. Another thing is many Americans don't want to believe what is going on around them and i know a few of them personally and it is pointless to talk to them. I'm just waiting for the govt to declare another bank holiday like they did in the 1930's. Great video man

  • Yea its tough. People are literally repelled when you even mention that real estate could fall further. Instead of telling me why real estate will go back up, they just stop talking as if I told them I was from outerspace or something. So frustrating...I stopped talking about it. I've warned who I wanted to warn, I'm done.

  • but we have an option most Americans don't. We can borrow yuan from my husband's family and buy up land here. Or just move to China. Not that i really want to, but if we have to...

  • in my state, on the news they said that people recieving food stamps,on HUD, and welfare are going to be getting visits from the Department of Human Serivices, to see if they can help more! BS! they have it set up that if you need gov. help, you cannot make more than some impossible amount. a month. So if you make enough to try to get on your feet, just try, they take it away. We currently get state insurance and fs. you can bet they aren't going to be stopping by to help, more like hinder.

  • Off topic but I'm watching Ray LaHood go on and on about how "he will not sleep until Toyota vehicles are 100% safe". What the hell is wrong w/ these guys? Driving isnt safe. Being born isnt safe. How does someone even define the term 100 percent safe? Honest I'd like to punch Ray LaHood right in his ignorant face. No wonder our industry is in china

  • What "they" are doing to China is a witch hunt. How many recalls have American car manufacturers had over the years (with deaths involved? Seems I remember exploding gas tanks in a few trucks and mini vans that expelled back seat passengers. . . ) It's obviously a cheap ploy to undermine consumers' confidence in the strong Toyota brandname. As if anyone can afford to buy ANY new cars right now . . .

  • Ugh, not china, I meant Toyota. Too late at night!

  • I dumped all of my stocks, bonds and 401ks awhile back. I sleep much better at night and I get the satisfaction of denying Goldman Sacks as much as my own money as I can. Its my way of taking a stab at them.

  • And one more thing. At the beginning of 2008, the CFO of my company said in a small brown bag lunch meeting that he had purchased a place in Scotland as an emergency hatch incase things got weird in the U.S. This was before I began paying attention to the economy. But I remember after the meeting, that it really struck me as odd that this guy went to the trouble of buying a house across the atlantic. I'd bet my last bullet that he has a full blown escape plan for his entire family.

  • My close friend and I are in our late 20's. We never believed in the 401K. I had people telling me that "but if the company matches up to X percent, you should contribute X percent". Noone ever considers what happens if something fundamentally goes wrong w/ the market. Anything that brainlessly asks you to put your funds into it is a scam. People will find this out in the next 10 years.

  • great video man! i have had the same conversation as you! with people! i really like your videos keep them coming!

  • Dejavu, just had this conversation at work... Frustrating as hell...

  • Only buy land if you plan to utilize it for homestead or farming. Not as an "investment" per se--too illiquid.

  • Good advice.

It is frustrating sometimes when trying to convince sleeping family and friends of what is coming.

  • Overseas viewer question. why do they call it a 401k?

  • ...united states internal revenue code section 401(k).

  • Think they had no choice in creating medicare as the health system would have eventually collapsed in debt. Its a preemptive handout.

  • Good info I cashed my 401K out 2 years ago and bought gold and silver. Keep the videos comin.

  • Actually that's funny, I started doing that about a year ago myself. Power to... us. The people. Gold and silver = money.

  • After the last global economic summits it was announced that the G20 intend to replace the US dollar as the world reserve currency by 2018. If the dollar doesn't crash before then, its purchasing power will drop at that time. However, I wouldn't count on your 401K or IRA lasting that long. Congress has on two separate occasions discussed "saving" your retirement by taking control of it for you. As they drown in debt, that $14T in liquid assets is going to look real attractive to them.

  • Government has already announced plans to take money from pension funds, so why would ANYONE keep their money tied-up in these fraudulent "instruments"?

Ultimately, our only hope is the ONE TRUE GOD. Be prepared, but put your faith in HIM.

  • I love your chanell. As far as 401k, you hit it right on the nail. I got out of it last year. All the people at my work think that I am crazy. But I am crazy...like a fox. Videos like yours keep me focus. Keep them coming.

  • Thanks a lot! Focus keeps our minds from wandering into dissonance.

  • We should all watch the rich. When they start moving out of this country it's time to go.......

  • No kidding!!! Thanks!

  • Its not the rich that will start moving.. it is the uber rich.. the wealthy in power and connections more than fiat dollars. We're talking about Bill Gates, the Bush family, the Clintons, hell, maybe even Oprah being the media tycoon she's become. Problem is, all of those I mentioned and many, many more have properties outside the US.. the news is controlled by these same power elite so it would never be reported in a timely fashion if all of them picked up and flew the coop.

  • Thanks for this good advice, I here you nice and clear, cant be anymore straight forward than that. Hopefully people wake up and listen to reality and prepare. Thaknks again!!!

  • I hope so... The more people who know & prepare - the better.

    Thanks!

  • We were warned.....Time to change our government...The two party system doesn't work. It may be too late, but I think the next election is important---very important---It may be our last chance !

  • We were warned. I was trying to get Ron Paul in real hard! Thanks!

  • precious metal IRA is the way to go!

  • Land purchase is a good idea for the immediate future, but unfortunately the end game will be confiscation of ALL private property. The" Sustainable Development " plan from NWO calls for no ownership of land. Look it up.

  • I completely agree with you. When the NWO is in full gear, it's going to be a dodgy at best life.

  • You mean, "IF the NWO gets in full gear".. it ain't over yet, is it? It might look gloomy, but everything may not be as it seems.. even as it seems in conspiracy or truth perspectives. If these people are as good as we ascribe them to be in their secrecy, power and subterfuge, then shouldn't we all be careful not to discount that even we have it wrong? Couldn't the end of the system be a good thing? Isn't it even possible to have a bloodless revolt/rebellion? Can't love win over evil? Yes.

  • Land, guns and sons.

I'm only 19 so retirement is a little ways off for me, but I hope to have a lot of all of those things when I do.

  • That's a good strategy. Many arrows in your quiver.

  • Excellent points. Invest in firearms, land and seeds, and storable food. (in that order).

  • Thanks! Very smart to do it in that order.

  • agree, 401K is a wall street ponzi. I plan to retire in Mexico, a nicer place IMO.

  • Pass me a cerveza when you see me :o) The thought of Americans running to Mexico is actually very ironic. Thanks.

  • I cashed-out of my 401k in fall 2008.

As jobs continue to vanish here in America, more people will "retire" when they realize the jobs aren't coming back. Thank you NAFTA & GATT!

Jesus will be here soon, and that's far-better than anything this world has to offer.

  • Agreed. One world currency, one world religion (ecumenism), and one world govt on the horizon.

  • serious? the actual jesus is going to be here? what State is he going to show up in? in here in chicago so i hope he stops by.

    thanks for the heads up.

  • @R6bbie: you think you are "awake" because younare one of the few who knows the govt is aboub to collapse. If you don't understand this is a spiritual war then you are still asleep. Is it a coincidence that Israel became a nation again after 2500 years? Look up the Bohemien Grove. These world elites worship satan. If Satan exists wouldn't it make sense that God does too?

  • explain what you mean by dumping it on the open market.

  • @curiouschem That means putting treasuries up for sale. It would immediately reduce the value of other treasuries held by other governments and they would impulsively put theirs up for sale also which would collapse the entire treasury market taking the dollar along with it.

  • Exactly. Like a panic sale and the value of the treasury goes caput.

  • @curiouschem

Selling it to anyone who wants to pay half the value.

If you buy 2, you get one free!

They want to get rid of it at any cost.

That's why they call it dumping.

  • Amen Brother! I been singing this same tune to my friends and family with little success. Most people I know personally voted for our current president (I did not) and they will defend him to the bitter end. Until they are on the streets with a tin cup or a hat in their hands they will continue to live in a fog.
