  • yea guess im going to stick with my ruger 10/22 for Rabbit Hunting

  • got the job done, well done :)

  • lol overkill?!?! Good stuff.

  • Talk about overkill.. Haha

  • Would have liked to have seen

Head shots at that distance .

    Good vid

  • will this gun work with 5.56X45 NATO or will that destroy my gun. if not whats some gun accurate cheap ammo. im asking so i can survive the zombie apocalypse.

  • @4everUSNavy No - It will chamber and it will fire, however the military 5.56 round creates much higher pressure with your rifle is not designed for... so I would avoid trying it.

  • awesome video, great shooting keep it up

  • I guess overkill is better than under killed!!

  • Good shooting, just luv the .223, turns them inside out

  • @117gotmilk o don't know who in the hell told you that... The remington 700 is a very dependable action

  • Shoot deer, not rabbits. Rabbits are pets, plus deer tastes better. Also, deer cause thousands of dollars in damages to the vehicles that hit them. Help keep deer off our streets.

  • wasnt the model 700 recalled?

  • Nice kills, that place looks perfect for rabbit hunting! I like to use my 17hmr for rabbit hunting.

  • I never understand why people watch these videos and complain about the vermin population being controlled.I have seen videos from this guy before and he is good at what he does.

If you do not want to see animals being controlled by shooting, make the choice to not watch it.

As for wether to use a 223 for the job or not is up to him. He paid for the amunition.

Keep posting these videos cos I think they are great to watch.

  • its still alive, maybe u try .50bmg :-)

  • I like your setup, great shooting!

  • There is no kicking around once the bunnies are hit with those rounds.

  • Rabbit overpopulate, were just saving food for the other rabbits ;)

  • What Country are you in?

  • usually for me, the 223. just goes straight through the rabbit and doesnt make that big of a hole

  • that one dislike is from the bunnys family.

  • PWNED

  • Nice shooting. But a .223 is to much for rabbits, they are totally denatured. We don´t even use the .223 for roe deer, because of its terrific speed. If you shoot a roe deer with the 223, there´s a bruise allover the body. Try to get closer on those rabbits - about 35 meters - and use a Shotgun.

  • Hi, how is it going. Same gun as me and mine's suppressed too. Can you give me your 55gr and 69gr load information as I'm just starting out reloading and yours is working well accuarcy wise. Long range vid good also. Cheers

  • the remington 700 sps tactical comes standard with a 20" barrel, ive not cut it down or anything like that.

  • Gun looks awesome! What size barrel is that? Looks like you had it cut down . Keep posting videos

  • Nice shooting and I bet it was good eating also. That's one hell of a nice place for rabbits, don't have anything like that around here couple hour drive to anything close to that. Happy hunting and to the ones that complain about hunting, happy gardening

  • I'm gonna kill am animal for every antiviolenve comment I see

  • dang man! i dont think you can eat that anymore....

  • Poor rabbit.. To bad your ass can't be shot for no reason.

  • @SirBabyPork Haahaha fucking hippy.

  • @SirBabyPork I guess you dont eat meat? steaks and chicken arent grown in the ground beleive it or not? You to eat meat that is hunted and killed so pull ya head in!

  • haha i was half expecting u to have some bad ass tat on ur hand

  • How are these rounds so quiet at those velociies?

  • @NaDunta1 its probably down to the camera cos they are louder when fired .

  • @bunnysniper22 And the wind ...

  • @NaDunta1 If you look closely at the front of the video the rifle appears to be suppressed (that thick round thing on the barrel). In other words there is a silencer mounted on it.

  • @NaDunta1 Notice the massive suppressor...

  • There's no such thing as overkill. You either kill it cleanly, or you don't.

Overkill only lives in the minds of the illogical.

  • @100021861 If you are out hunting coyotes for pelts to sell and you use a round that blows the yote in half, you now have a useless pelt because you "overkilled" it. your statement doesnt make a whole lot of sense

  • @tronclay

No, what you have there is collateral , or excess damage. You can only kill it enough to make it dead. And only one death can be died.

    Ergo, overkill is illogical.

  • @100021861 Leave it to the "intellectual" to argue semantics.... Now you are trying to tell me "overkill" is different than "excess damage"...?

You can only kill it enough to make it dead and you can only damage it enough to make it broken, whats the difference? In the end its illogical to split hairs over the obvious meaning of a widely used term.

  • @tronclay

You believe what you want to. I have nor the time or inclination to argue on the Internet.

Enjoy your shooting, and I'll enjoy mine.

  • @100021861 no, you only have time to nitpick about stupid shit, i understand.

In other words you couldnt refute what i said and realized you were wrong. Nuff said.

  • @tronclay

Nitpick? If you look at the comment history, you'll see that you picked it up. ;-)

Or are you blind as well as a Yankee dumbass hillbilly?

  • @100021861 picked "it" up? What is "it"? Oh you mean your lame ass douchebag nitpicking? Right.

  • a bit over kill?

  • @carlyle0229 not for out to 200 yards and beyond. i use my .22LR from close range out to 150 yards and the .223 beyond that.

  • @bunyshooter22 great shooting I would like to set up with you with my .30-06 700!

  • thats intence, now I wanna see what a .308 will do. Sincerely- Brownnz.

  • ahhh hunting rabbits with a .223. When a .22 just isnt satisfying enough.

  • good shooting i guess.. Never found the point in "sport" hunting for rabbit personally... If i was going to be shooting a still target just to watch it explode and i didnt plan on eating it id just shoot a clay pigeon on the ground..

  • @tronclay i dont just shoot the rabbits for fun to watch them explode, i shoot them as they are vermin in the uk and ruin the farmers fields. The farmers dont want rabbits in their land and i do this to help them out. I also shoot them with .22 rimfires not just .223. At this perticular part on this farm this field has little cover to shoot from so i use the .223 to get them from a greater distance.

The rabbits do get eaten, i give them to friends or the farmers dogs

  • @tronclay The alternative would be using poison, which contaminates the entire ecosystem.

  • @dogwood912 im not sure if you misread my comment but how exactly is poisoning rabbits an alternative to shooting them for sport?

  • @tronclay , what I was saying is this, I am a landowner, I allow hunters to shoot varmints for sport on my property, the alternative would be to use poison, when that is done consumers further up the food chain die like flies, ie: predatory cats, dogs, birds of prey, I have seen it happen. Shooting may seem cruel, it is the lesser of two evils.

  • @dogwood912 the comment you responded to was made before the channel owner explained that he wasnt hunting for sport but instead to dispatch farm vermin.

  • Nice shooting bunnysniper22, very quiet rifle with that overbarrel on it, looks like an extremely good long range package. have fitted an overbarrel to my Browning X-Bolt .300 winmag and am getting 3400fps out of the muzzle with Hornady GMX 150gr loads, look forward to seeing more of your vids cheers

  • why are you using a silencer?

  • @panacioo , why not use one? i shoot near farm animals so i prefere to keep it as quiet as i can not to spook them .

  • @bunnysniper22 oh ok its just when i go hunting i don't use one and i shoot near farm animals all the time but i guess its optional. still it makes the gun look cooler than it would without one

  • @panacioo , the farm that i shoot on i am the 1st shooter to shoot on it so the animals are not used to it. My other land i shoot on is quite close to urban so i like to keep a low profile and yeah it does look cooler lol

  • @bunnysniper22 one more question what silencer are you using? and were did you get it cos i might get one myself

  • @panacioo Its a BR Toute T8 , you can get them from jackson rifles.co.uk, about £230 cost. very effective mod

  • @bunnysniper22 thanks

  • @tonniterska Very interesting, I didn't know that in finland you could hunt such a great variety of animals with the .223. I have a beautiful H&K 630 semiauto rifle in .223 remington and I'd love to do a hunting trip there....

By the way I've used it several times on foxes and if you use FMJ bullet it wont ruin the meat.

  • @15Palamita Yeah, after I posted my first comment I immediately noticed that he used a ballistic tip bullet. I should've known better. :p

I'm about to buy a CZ 527 Lux .223 hunting rifle myself. I'd propably use it mainly in grouse, fox, raccoon dog and beaver hunting since those are the main game species in my area.

  • @tonniterska Well I had a Cz 527 American some times ago, it was really accurate even at 200 yards. Lucky you with all that species to hunt with the .223, I hunt only foxes with it. Finland is beautiful, I have two finnish knifes a leuku and a puukko :D

  • You can shoot Wallaby, Pademellons, Possums, Rabbits & Hares with these in Tasmania.

  • You can shoot Wallaby, Pademellons, Possums, Rabbits & Hares with these in Tasmania.

  • How about head shootin them instead of gut shots. Gut shooting rabbits under 200 meters is for amateurs.

  • nice shooting! even through strong wind.Did half the rabbit blow up because of the balistic tips or just the caliber? ive been looking for a good hunting rifle and this looks like it.

  • @000Sherwood000 , i think this was probably due to both the Balistic tip and the caliber, the BT's are designed to expand on the moment it impacts so id maybe put it down to that more than the caliber. Awesome round to use .

  • I thought I wanted to hunt, but after seeing this video. . . .took the taste right out of my mouth. YOU KILLED BUGS BUNNY YOU BASTARD!!!

  • nice shooting, iv the the rem 700 light barrell fluted, i use them hornardy 55gr ballistics on foxs and they go rite through leaving no damage but if i use them 45gr hollow points they blow him in 2, how is dat, found ur video cause was looking 4 a scope like dat how do u find it?

  • nice gun for hunting rabbits and other varmints, but there's not much else you can shoot with it. nice vid.

  • @JohannWendt Hi and thanks for the comment,

with this rifle i can also shoot, foxes and Roe deer in scotland, i dont shoot deer thought, i only shoot foxes and varmint.

    craig

  • @JohannWendt Eh,you could hunt larger things with that. Idk about hogs or anything like that but bob cats and such if you hit them in the right spot. But the Remmy 700 also comes in .308,300 mag and many others so it just depends on what you prefure.

  • @JohannWendt That depends on where you live. In Finland .223 is a very suitable caliber for hunting. You can shoot about 20 different game species with it (plus vermint animals).

  • @tonniterska for example which?!? Just curious I love finland :D

  • nice placement. I've shot a 700 .223 today and really liked it, I'm thinking about getting one, but I don't know how good the factory trigger is. What's your take?

  • @Jarvisx51 hey man, cheers for the comment, as for the factory trigger i think its really good. All the new model remy 700 SPS have got a xpro trigger which is fully adjustable, so id say yeah defo get one dude.

  • beautiful shooting i am thinking about getting pretty much the same gun. how much did you pay for the lot not including scilencer (i live in Australia there banned here).

what sort of scope would you recomend

  • @donoth577 thanks man appreciate it.

    The rifle was £690

    scope £700

    bolt knob upgrade £75

    Harris bipod £120

As for the scope, i use the bushnell elite 6500 4.5-30x50 and i think its awesome, ive not had one bad thing to say about it at all.

  • at 1:58 this video went from good to awesome.....

  • @oafaloaf thanks bud i appreciate it

  • Yeah post more thats awesome, I just got my licence and put a deposit down for one of these babies. LOVE seeing what it can do.

  • @dbzdanj dont worry man ill be posting more of these rabbit hunting vids very soon. You aint gonna be dissapointed with this rifle mate.

  • Are tricks till for kids, b1tch?! lol

  • @ntrudr800 sorry i dont know what you mean.

  • @ntrudr800 *still (talking towards the rabbit, according to the Trix cereal ads on television--where the rabbit representing the cereal says it's only for kids)

  • @ntrudr800 if you dont like the video thats ok, not everyone will like it and everyone to their own opinion.

  • @bunnysniper22 I like it i was making a joke

  • @ntrudr800 oh sorry man, i thought you was taking the mickey, cos ive not seen that ad, but now i get it , sorry for the confusion.

Im going back out rabbit hunting today with the remy .223 so keep an eye out for the new video.

  • @bunnysniper22 alright :)

  • Jesus, sniper! not much of those boys left to take home! I take it you left the remians for charlie.

That remy 700 in 223 is the mutts! well done. You ll have to post up some nice long range ones.

  • @treeratbuster yeah these 2 got left for charlie which ive been told is a pretty big guy.

Yeah ill be posting up some longer range movies when that wind dies down lol im gonna love spring and summer at this place .
