  • im beggining to wonder why we broke up with england in the first place.

  • Can someone tell me if Sheridan ever appear in? thanks

  • us brits aint so bad, eh lol xx

  • I am American and have doubted British Comedy for years thinking hardly any of it was funny but then I really tried getting into it from watching Bean every second of every day and thought if Bean was English and that funny other shows must be just as funny and that got me onto Keeping up Appearances and Whose Line is it Anyway. The Brit's have it GOOD when it comes to British Comedy. I LOVE it and would never watch anything else. I LOVE BBC

  • British humour is the best! :D Effing hilarious.. fawlty towers, mr bean, keeping up appearances.. they're all awesome :D Hyacinth is so hilarious

  • Hyacinth is a snobby cow.

  • I would be insulted if one of my neighbors told me I needed to enter through the back door.

  • despite her exceptional manners this leading lady really does very little for me. other than the traditional british miscommunications and a rather humorous dog, this show is little more than a study in british lifestyle, idealized though it may be.

  • I LOVE this series. It's the only thing I've ever seen on TV that made me laugh hysterically & cry. That was the scene where Hyacinth is chasing Violet down the street & Hyacinth's neighbours remark that she's relentless in offering people lifts. I think the reason people wouldn't find it funny nowadays is that people are too rude & would shut Hyacinth down before she could do anything really ridiculous. Actually I've noticed TV in general is not as funny as it used to be, but a lot darker. =(

  • everytime I type in "keeping up" it fills in "kardashians" - who wants to watch a crap show like that? Why can't there be more wholesome and truly funny shows like "keeping up appearances" with amazing actors in America? We're 2 overrun with reality tv - make it stop!

  • I love British television! I wish American TV had the quality programming that BBC has.

  • @ScrapWench0 - o yes, BBC, Channel 4 and ITV Granada produce some of the best English shows out there including this one. Classic!

  • I would love to go to one of Hyacinthe's candle-light suppers!

  • love it 'coffee at 11 elizabeth' bring mrs bucket ... sorry bouquet back

  • I love this! i remember it from my childhood :-)

  • SATURDAY

  • I LOVE THIS!GREETINGS FROMS HOLLAND.

  • Brilliant ensemble comedy. Brilliant cast

  • do u think u can keep him interested until hes old enough to drink

wow cool and so funny lol

  • The British are too proper. This show wouldn't make sense being shown in the U.S. because Americans are blunt and someone in each episode would tell Hyacinth off. Many Americans (including me) would just start cussing her out when she acts like she is better than everyone else and criticizes people. I wonder how she wold react to that. lol

  • @adamisabfab too proper? I take it you haven't been to any cities in the UK, lol

  • @adamisabfab No one in England is actually like this. That's kind of the point of the comedy. The majority of Brits are down-to-earth like Onzlo and Daisy.

  • @adamisabfab

It's not proper, it's called manners.

  • "Coffee? Ohhh yeeesss, hahahaha....The back door dear." LMAO

  • This show, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, Black Adder, Father Ted, AB FAB, Ripping Yarns........the Brits & Irish just have cleverer satire sometimes. And most Americans just don't get it. I'm glad I do.

  • It's not Funny, it's not even boring! Infact, it kind of makes Me want to Self-Harm!

  • she reminds me so much of my ex mother inlaw

  • lol brilliant...

  • Too bad Hyacinth's neighbors don't like her...she is imposing...but still gracious and extremely talented, very generous and caring!

  • I WILL not have you being unfaithful to my hats!

  • I absolutely love this show. Its good, clean humor. We need more like it.

  • Maybe Hyacinth notices people act funny around her, but maybe she feels its because of her so-called importance people get intimidated. How delusional but funny.

  • Poor Elizabeth. How can Hyacinth be so unaware that she's not liked? I can always tell when people don't want me around or want me to shut up. I guess she's so self-absorbed and narcissistic that she can't tell. I know a few like her. Hyacinth should know its bad manners to force yourself upon people. Maybe its a British thing where its rude to tell someone their not great or to tell them you don't want nothing to do with them. In America someone would have been told Hyacinth off.

  • why not fuckoff?

  • We love this show, thanks!

  • Absolutely love it.... :)

  • @Golfsplat1 dude, you have absolutely no sense of humor! no offence xD

  • Hey, none taken :) Different sense of humour etc. Good luck with watching these - personally; I'd rather put my gonads put in a wasps nests than wait for inevitable coffee spills or Hyacinth to fall in to the hedge every time she goes round to Onslows and his dog barks at her. And for Goodnesss sake, someone tell her to shut up! xxxx;)

  • @Golfsplat1 of course every now and then it's a bit exaggerated but oh well... these kinds of series are supposed to be like that i guess :) you know what? my dog looks EXACTLY like the one in the car. i wouldn't be surprised if they were related somehow. it just amazes me... you know, that mixed breed isn't as common as let's say a german shepherd or a poodle xD

  • those coffee cock ups are ridiculous

  • Oh she's so fantastic! Only an actor of this calibur could portray such a horrible, contemptable bitch. The series lacks a bit of credibility however, they wouldn't have gotten through the first few episodes without her character ending up in a wood chipper.

  • Truly great those were the days

  • "You're not wearing a tie !!" lol

  • I think the whole thing is unrealistic with the minor character I mean. If you were that scared of her you would just ignore her and you wouldn't hide and constantly bitch. Its like Elizabeth, Emmet, Marjory and Phyllis have nothing better to do than to bitch about her and bully her.

  • @Decoration300 >.>

  • Hyacinth Bucket is an idol for myself and narcissists world over. She is just fantastic.

  • Poor Daisy ^^

  • "Mind the tree, dear!"

Please send us Hyacinth and take our chancellor Angela Merkel instead.

Daily politics would be jollier here...

Best wishes from a bored Germany!

  • this shit was my favorite show to watch back in the day when i was little. funny stuff.

  • I have a neighbor that's practically a mirror image of Onslow.

  • LOVE this show!!!! pity my hubby doen't get it

  • I love how Richard tells Liz she better go to coffee as though she would be in trouble with Hyacinth:)

  • Only a handfull of American TV comedies can compete with Keeping Up Appearances.

  • my fav tv show eva i love stereotypical characters

  • its awesome that some people still appreciate the actual good shows. i dont have a tv anymore, so I can't watch this except on the computer. i wish i still had a tv... when we did it was all we watched. ddn't miss an episode.

  • Yes, really good! =) I'm going to look around for the other episodes, too.

  • Hyacinth is the wildest. So glad we get to see this every Sunday night. Poor Richard!

  • Brilliant show miss it so much...........i know its an over used phrase but they really dont make shows like this anymore do they!!!

  • most. favorite. show. ever.

  • love you hyacinth

  • i LOVE hyacinth. she's so hilarious

  • 'it cant be easy when your all thumbs'

Hyacinths face when the milk goes everywhere lmao loved it XD

  • Such a great hilarious show -- I always looked forward to watching it every Saturday night!

  • "Oh Nice!"

  • The end of this clip is the best! I freakin' love Onslow.

  • God, seeing this made me remember the days at school when you could go out and buy cigarettes and smoke them outside the gates. 16!!

  • Onzlo - Peter [Family Guy ]

  • But it can't be compared to this comedic genius!

  • Well Onslow is much more intelligent then Peter Griffin. He watches open university and reads physics and philosphy books. He can also be very philosphical when he wants to be.

The only things that Peter and Onslow have in common is their both fat and lazy.

  • omg i miss this show

  • Why don't you just bog off and let me watch the replay? I love Onslo!

  • Great to see a young Jonny Lee Miller before his Trainspotting starring role!

  • LOL! I can't help but admire Hyacinth! How great would life be if we could all be like her? To have practically the entire town despise you in the very least do everything they can to avoid you, but all you see is a steady line of admirers and people who think everything you do is classy and supreme. There's got to be a drug out there for that!

  • Haha you are so right! A delusion pill - that would be fab!

  • @PurpleNiobe it's called cocaine

  • @Shanniquitie, I will NOT have you insinuating Hyacinth would use drug that could leave such an unclassy looking white powder under her nose! How undignified! You should be ashamed! :->

  • @PurpleNiobe lol @ "classy and supreme".

  • I think Patricia Routledge, Jennifer Saunders, and Lucille Ball all qualify for comedy divas.

  • everyone loooooves hyacinth!! if i grow old i want to be like her lmao, shes such a tragicomic character "richard i wont let you go out the house with your shirt half undone!" - hardly! haha thanks for uploading :) x

  • Very funny. Thanks for uploading this.

  • tv shows just aren't this good nowadays. all language and crap,a nd not humor

  • @twiwonder couldnt agree with you more.

  • @twiwonder I agree with you. Today's show feel you have to be filthy, curse, and have sex in everything they do. I don't think anyone is talented if they have to resort to filth all the time. Sometimes it gets boring. Whatever happen to good humor, a story and plot, good characters, and good writing? We wonder why our kids are so messed up, even the cartoons are bad and nonsense..

  • @MusicandDancing4Ever oh wow. 41 likes. thought i'd get cussed out for saying that ^^ and yes, thank you. I'm glad you agree. And my friends wonder why I haven't watched TV in years.............

  • @MusicandDancing4Ever I agree. It's the writing. Every sitcom today is a "one-joke" sitcom:

The Office is just that guy (the boss) saying inappropriate things and making people uncomfortable. Every show, every scene. How in the world do people even find that remotely funny?

Two and a Half Men: It's just Charlie Sheen making cracks about his sexual exploits or him being a bad role model for the kid. Every scene in every show. it's the same bit. Mind-boggling.

  • My mother polishes the doorknobs every week. I think she was inspired by Hyacinth.

  • I guess you had to see this from the beginning, but I never could understand why no one ever told Hyacinth to SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I have many, many times. LOL Although, my mother is really much like her and I could only manage to mouth it behind her back. I am scared to say it to her face. I once caught my husband mouthing "shut up" behind her back as well. It was priceless! :D
