I love seeing guy cheerleaders actually jump & dance in routines!!

I'm only in high school & we're co-ed also. We can't ever get our guys to do any of that.

& I love how the guys hit toss to hands so easily. Amazing job!

stunts and tumbling are a bit weak but the dancingg is GREAT (: im really impressed. (: if they work on their tumblingg and stunts theyy could be AMAZING

to some of the comments being made i agree there where some mistakes yet it was never stated to be a perfect routine, but clearly for this MEAC comp and all the rules, standards, and requirements set by MEAC FAMU completed those! The team that won A&T did great but they had no COED anything and for it to be a COED division it was not understood why they won!

the routine was good but i agree with gaguy229 it didnt flow and you the stunts wherent tight enough...i didnt see A&T but when you have more then one stunt that doesnt hit 100% you really shouldnt expect to win 1st

FAMU had a great routine! I enjoyed. They had awesome good formations and great tumbling! However, they stunts weren't on point. Stunts that were supposed to go up at the same time and hit on the same count were either too soon or too late. One girl in the video to the far left didn't hit her scorpion or arbsq on time. The landing for the tumbling could have been better too. Had they hit all of their stunts correctly and landed their tumbling without stumbling, they would have had it in the bag!

I mean this routine is alright but I am not understanding how everyone thinks FAMU should of won. If this was the finals and they were trying to be Grand Champs; then there were a lot of bobbles, looked like someone stepped out of bounds tumbling down the middle. On the Jump sequence dude on the right let his hands touch mat on standing back and the girl stuning in the back looks like she fell out of the stunt. It was a strong 3rd but I dont see this routine being "THE ONE"

oh wow! This is impressive! Great job! I hope more HBCU's follow your league! But I am trying to fiqure out how you didn't place first? Keep it up! So many girls train for this style of cheering and have a hard time finding a school that has all of their schooling as well as their passion of good cheerleading! Will definitely have my allstars to look into this team!

This was my last time performing at MEAC and i had fun..the ending result was a bit diffrent but retruning from last year im used to it. To my future FAMU cheerleaders remember "WHAT YOU DO ON THE FLOOR COUNTS AND THE REST IS HISTORY" to the vets "LET YOUR SKILLS EARN THE RESPECT" and to the fans of FAMU "THANK YOU SO MUCH" Im Stephen Red Williams need i say more! ;-) 9:30!

kjr256 - To the haters if you would look at the score sheet you would notice that you do not get points for something unless majority performed the skill so throwing 3-4 fulls and risking touching down makes less sense than having 10 layouts and maxing out your points. also backtuck baskets are awarded the same points as toetouch baskets bc they are nontwisting baskets. so although the individual difficulty wasn't as high they maxed out on everything and were extremely clean.

I have a quick question. Everyone is commenting on the how great of a coed squad they are but did anyone see any coed partner stunts in the routine? There were a couple in the cheer portion. All I saw was All-Girl partner stunts. With that being said, it was a good routine.

I'm a RAM alumni, but I was thoroughly devastated that yall got shafted for the 2nd year in a row! Please know Rattlers yall are the peoples champion! :-) Everyone @ Joel knew who the real winners were! :-)

Well I am proud of my team!!! I am the Captain for this year and I think we did a bang up job, i didnt perform to the best of my ability, because I was in the bed a day before with food poisoning from seafood and I didnt have my strength back like i thought i did, but nonetheless, I am very proud of my team and thak you guys for all your support and comments, whether good or bad!!!

Why?..MEAC are yall crazy?...They have all the potential in the world and then some...lol...for the last 3 years NCAT won for ALL-GIRLS and thats what they did an ALL-GIRL routine what was the purpose of going Co-Ed? I agree with cheerguy091, dont let this stop yall MEAC just aint where its at nomore..FAMU EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS!!! It may be different but yall got it..MEAC aint giving justice when its rightfully due...They straight robbed us..but its ok we better than that

I totally agree with you DHS0Cheer9...Im a SC State Cheerleader...and we were very proud of FAMU...They did great...honestly we felt as though they were the only competition... MEAC is very bias and they dont do things the way they should do it...FAMU SC STATE &n Morgan were they best squads out there in terms of difficulty & crowd participation...

Thank you for a REAL co-ed routine!! Like nprincess02 I'm also a 2-time MEAC champ (got my ring to prove it!!)..alumni of MSU.. and FAMU never competed back in my day! For them to pull this out was amazing! It's utterly ridiculous that A&T got first in the category with that routine. They have just enough boys so they can't compete all-girl and go up against MSU! But we all know the MEAC comp is FLUKE anyway so I'm not surprised.. Great job ladies & gents!

all im saying is that you can see the difference in the routines that were in coed division. FAMU really represented as a coed team! they had difficulty that pleased the crowd and was executed beautifully! they had real coed stunting in the cheer. they had nice pyramids and the 2-1-1 was great! it set them apart from the rest of the groups ... should not have even been in the same division!

I just want to say hats off to FAMU you all did an awesome job!! I am a 2-time MEAC champ and when I competed the Rattlers never competed so glad to see they keep competing. I was at the comp Mon right in front and enjoyed the routine this year and last year. The one thing that most of the squads that compete must remember is that having a clean routine is necessary for winning any comp. FAMU had great recovery after the bobbles, but overall it needs to be a little cleaner.

*kick full flyers need to be tighter w/ pointed toes- 1:14-15

*middle partner stunt not completing position -1:27-1:42

*far left stunt not completing position 1:36-1:42

*cradle timing off, small bobbles for partner stunts

*tumbling fall on double toe touch tuck- 2:15

*2 tumbling bobbles on back tucks far right 2:15

@Salsadivva There were a lot of good moments, it just needed to be a little cleaner. Nice tight motions during the cheer. Good job leading the crowd with the toss to hands. The team really seemed to come alive during the dance... nice tight motions again, WONDERFUL energy, nice transitions. Overall great use of the floor space. Love the idea of the stunts just want to see them execute better. Great synchronized running tumbling from a few people going corner to corner.

So you gonna blame A&T for FAMU not winning overall...Why?

It was the judges that made the decision and awarded the trophies... It was the judges that placed Morgan state and A&T above FAMU...Like I said last year If they mad then be mad, stage a boycott next year, do what you got to do, but why blame another squad the decision the judges made...it just make you come off like a cry baby and sore looser...showing grace & class in defeat goes further than temper tantrums...
