  • Gr8 ! Dis was long before Clapton turned into an automatic guit playin machine ...

  • anybody know where i can find the tab for this?

  • love claptons playing on this, peter greens supernatural on the nxt mayall album takes some beating though.

  • Hmm, interesting, I wonder if this inspired "Strange Brew"? Anyone else hearin' similarities? Huh. Well, still, smashing great tune!

  • @Zasalamel49 The straight section reminds me a touch of Black Magic Woman.

  • @didgeboy287 Funny you should say that; that song was actually written by Peter Green (Bluesbreakers, Fleetwood Mac)

  • @Zasalamel49 ha! no way :) I guess my ear ain't that bad then.

  • @didgeboy287 ^_^

  • sounds like someone added echo to this track. if so, shame. should leave the classic tracks alone. Mayall and EC would have added echo if they wanted it

  • @GuiitarBilly true, mayall wanted to capture the live sound of the bluesbreakers, so no echo. but it could have been added already in 1969 in the course of the stereo remastering

  • @stonerlemonblues - i suppose echo could have been added during 'remastering'- if any was done in 1969. Pretty sure Mayall had control of this- his most famous record, back then, and he wouldn't have done it.Same echo was dumped on the whole track- on everything. More like someone playing with their little effects software then posting (their own choice, not Mayalls). like when folks mess with Beatles recordings and post to youtube as "the Beatles"- if you do it call it your remix or something

  • この凄まじいレスポールの切れ味が、ギター世界を変えたネ!~エリック・クラプトン様がロンドンだけじゃなく世界的神になった瞬間冒頭"All Your Love"

  • This is old time Clapton and Mayall jammin...awesome...

  • John Mayall.......50 years on the road.......57 albums and surrounded himself with hundreds of

musicians over time.......Grandfather of British Blues......

Thankyou for introducing so many to the Blues

  • Spine-chilling, now as it was then -- and I was there. Clapton never played again with such raw passion, not on record anyway. He died emotionally and artistically in the early 70s, sad to say.

  • @bellevue46 No he didn't die emotionally or artistically he just at that time switched to Fender which killed his signature tone.Ultimately same outcome so you are still correct.

  • @bellevue46 Listen to Derek and the Dominos and assorted love songs with Duane Allman, plenty of great guitar playing there.

  • @mudmen1000 I said the same thing to a guy at work who called eric clapton boring...

  • reminds me of strange brew

  • les paul.

  • @friesandfries This is in stereo, the original was in mono. I have the CD which has it both mono and stereo, I prfer the echoeness of the stereo takes, but the mono has a lovely, raw tone to it. Hope this helps :)

  • @anonymouslolxD I've got the same CD probably ;) Great record! ;)

  • This is music men¡¡¡¡¡¡real music ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡fuckin´´´awesome blues licks¡¡¡bluessssssssss 4 ever¡¡

  • Is this in some movie? Cos i think i remember hearing this in some movie, but just couldn't remember

  • This whole album was done in one take, one hr in the recording studio and Done.

Quintessential blues album of the era, in one take.

    Wild.

  • If you were born before 1950 and you don't know about the Bluesbreakers with Clapton (who didn't bang the strings for Mayall for very long) then you were NOT in the middle of early 60's GREAT music. Sorry...........

  • down & dirty

  • John Mayall is a Blues man. Eric Clapton is POP. He made his hits thanks to JJ Cale.

  • @AlbertNongrum Try harder. And someday, maybe someday, you'll get to annoy someone just a little bit.

  • My favourite version

  • 1:47 solo

  • One of the most beautiful guitar tones ever recorded.

  • The Best!!!!!!!

  • This song means business.

  • Is it just me or does this have more reverb than the original?

  • @plushlush your surely the only who cares..............

  • @Ukabumba This still sounds good but it's different. Just tryin' to educate you, son.

  • @plushlush i was on peyote when i wrote that, apologizes! so sorry

  • @plushlush it sounds like it...... not just the guitar but the whole song

  • Strange brew killing what's inside of you...

  • yesssssssssss my verry first album !!!!!!!!! stilllll lov,t

  • I clicked on a john mayer and Clapton video because i thought it was a John Mayall and Clapton video reading is important ! ;(

  • @lenda2021 No. The music is important.

  • I made it my mission to try and copy these licks. Of course, didn't get them 100% but it made me a much better guitarist.

  • I listened to this 'Beano' 33.3 album and particular song (All your Love) in 1966 or perhaps 1967. Clapton's licks blew me away.

  • clapton is god

  • @blackandtanful Shut the Fuck Up Chink, and listen to this bad-ass British Blues-Rock. I will personally go to Korea or wherever the fuck your'e from, and kick your ass if you don't.

  • このギターが新しい扉をタップリ開けた!~~ジョンメイオール・ブルース・バンドのエリック・クラプトン~~パイオニアとはこれをゆう!

  • To slpexxi1969: I think the Bluesbreaker always had ecc83 in its preamp and Plexis have been produced since 1959 but I might be wrong. ECC 83 and EL84 are very similar in tone but anyway I'm not a great fan of British Blues which means I'm never going to invest money into a Marshall real vintage or reissue amp. That said I would like to crank up an old Hiwatt which has an aura of mystery around.... DR 130... have you ever heard of it?

  • @andreaxyz ECC83s and 12AX7s are the same thing, but they are both preamp tubes. EL84s are power tubes. They can't be switched. I agree, Marshalls are expensive. I prefer Fender, that's why I have a tweed Champ. Hiwatts are cool too, but they're even more expensive than Marshalls and I'm not sure I've ever actually seen one, just heard them on Pink Floyd and The Who records.

  • Clapton is God.

  • @AzraelCame2nite Clapton WAS God.

  • @BluesAnders And yet Jimi Hendrix outplayed, see "Jimi Hendrix Killed Clapton"

  • epic .....

  • the first LP I ever purchased...still magnificent

  • 7 people can't face themselves.

  • first Bluesbreakers, then Cream, Blind Faith and the Dominos....as Duane Allman once said: "Eric Clapton wrote the book, man - The Contemporary White Blues Guitar, Volume I. His style and technique is what's really amazing. He's got a lot to say, and the way he says it just knocks me out."

  • don't make me me fool..1980...i love you...humberto - portugal

  • 1969にはじめて聴く。触っただけで、指がちぎれる切れ味

  • @galcivare So do I...how many times I listened to that as a teenager in the late sixties

  • everyone with real interest of what matters in history of rock should listen this album

  • @ColdOasisU2

I play guitar since i was 13. Now i´m 27 and imust admit with shame that i just discovered this album 3 weeks ago. I have spento whole nights playing it. Probably the most underrated of the list of most influential albums inthe history of music.

  • @hungerstriker27 do u play by tab or learn by ear? ive just started to try to learn by ear and its kinda hard

  • @andrewvanrhoberts

by ear in this case... It depends of the song. If you are able to dominate the penthatonic scale that woul make the difference. By ear maybe isn´t accurate 100%, but you just have to identify the key of the guitar and that would guide you to learn the whole song without tab.

  • @hungerstriker27 In my eyes, it's definitely best learning by ear. You learn to understand scales and use them in a different manner, just to mention one thing. Although it does take some time to get good at, and it's not everything that is as easy as classic pentatonic stuff.

  • 7 dislikes too many

  • @chrisguy1947

    σταρχιδιαμας .

  • i have the original LP. Sacred.

  • when God unleashes those heartbreaking tones @ 1:22, it sends shivers down your spine. That's the Blues!

  • Yeah, yeah. But do go back and hear it done right on Otis Rush's Cobra record.

  • This song has guitar sound that fills in a very warm medium/big room. Airy yet warm and organic, with a bit of feedback.

If you listen carefully, it has this little feedback going making it sound a step beyond previous guitar records yet super warm.

  • 7 people wish this song was available on Guitar Hero so they could 'play' it!

  • @rikstewart1979 Exactly, this is the kind of guitar that simply cannot be played with GH, anyway I found frustrating playing with it compared to my real guitar. I soon stoped playing to that game.

  • man. serious track. got a lot out of this. truly amazing!

  • Wish someone had USA Union up ...............

  • Fucking Spine Chilling man esp. the parts at 1:22 to 1:48

  • Can someone verify to me if this is the original version? Because I want to buy this exact version on vinyl but im hearing alot of alternate stereo mixes that dont sound the same as this one.

  • John Mayall & the bluesbreakers was 1 of the most important British blues bands of the British Invasion era, as they served as the training ground for Eric clapton & many other greats. Sadly, they are virtually unknown in the USA.

  • My first intro to Clapton! Love at first hear! I still have the album.

  • @sabymoon Me too

  • I recently got to see Mayall live and he's still rocking it out on stage. Anytime he's in Vegas I'll definitely be at his show! After the show he tapped my bfs shoulder and thanked us for coming to the show. He's really cool and talented man!!! His music feeds your soul.

  • ITS STILL ONE FOR BANDS TO BEAT

  • This album brought the '58-'60 Les Paul to the spotlight.....Everyone in England got one shortly after this......When Jimmy Page got his in 1969 it sealed the guitars fate.....Now you can't find one.....And if you do find one, you better be a millionaire....Clapton, Beck, and Page were the real ground breakers in rock....They sent rock music into the direction it took to this day......In my opinion Beck is the best by far....He reinvents the guitar every time he steps onstage !!

  • @bobbyozb

Don't forget Don Felder, also used the 1959 Gibson Les Paul during his time with The Eagles. Oh and also Fleetwood mac's guitarist used one during their time with Stevie Nicks.

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx And Steve Lukather still has one.

  • Bluesbreakers!! <3333 oh man clapton's guitar gives me goosebumps wtff

  • JOHN MAYALL is truly the Father, the King of British Blues!!! He is the BEST!!!! Forever!!!

  • @pintore1 I love john. but the father is Alexis Korner

  • I used to go to the Ricky-Tick club in Windsor a lot in 1965-66. I saw John Mayall with Clapton several times-standing in the front row. For a sixteen year old who had only really heard pop up that point it was amazing. Then one night we were told Clapton has left and there was some new boy called Peter Green. "Don't worry" said John from the stage "just listen."

Clapton & Green are not better or worse - just different styles.

  • JE PRECISE QUE CLAPTON LORS DU 1ER CONCERT EN 71 JE CROIS POUR AIDER LE BANGLA DESH AVEC GEORGES HARRISON , CLAPTON EST ARRIVE EN TOUT DERNIER IL EST MONTE SUR SCENE SANS AVOIR REPETER ET CA C'EST LA GRANDE CLASSE !!! JOHN MAYALL EST LE MEILLEUR BLUESMAN BLANC SIXTIES UN GRAND UN PURISTE MAGIQUE !!

  • which one is john mayall in the album photo?

  • @predlycon the first from the left

  • @predlycon The guy with beard on the left. He has aged a bit, but still rolling thes days I heard.

Clapton is reading the BEANO comic magazine. Legendary album and cover. I have it somewhere in a box.

Still remember phrases from the cover text: ....on his best nights Clapton can make time stand still. But even without stopping the clock, his playing can be both savage and breathtakingly beautiful....." Cover design and textwriting was still an art in these days.

  • Sheesh...this still sounds great!!! MORE, MORE, MORE!!! Clapton at his peak...WONDERFUL stuff

  • JOHN /PETER /CLAPTON THE BEST BLUES MONDIAL VIVE JOHN MAYALLS' SIXITIES BLUEZY VERY GOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD !!!!

  • I bought this album 2 weeks ago and immediately uploaded in my mp3 player. Not dowloaded lol!

  • Peter Green Was Better

  • Thxs for the jam.

  • great great great

  • An iconic album that everyone should own....

  • An iconic album tat everyone should own....

  • I bought this LP in 66, and still have it! Wonderful. Also have original Fleetwood Mac from about the same time. Album cover shows a dog sniffing around dustbins. They were a blues band before they went commercial with Albatross.

  • Clapton is god you are correct

  • @jojofromstatesboro and Peter Green is god with a G...and Albatross is commercial?

Please research some of the early Mayall and Fleetwood Mac music.

  • I can many other future Clapton songs in this song.

    1. If it wasn't for Bad Luck...

    2. Down by the cross roads.....

    3. ????

  • this is fuckin blues my friends.

  • I Love U Jhon...,,,

  • two words: HOLY COW!

    This is something else!

  • Oh shit! I was 17 when I bought this and this song always gets my gut hard.

Agree with one poster that "Broken Wings" by Mayall was great - as "The Death of JB Lenoir". Am starting to learn guitar and wish I could learn how this was done, albeit w/o the talent/soul. Man, he I love his attack and the Big Change in this song. Uh, who played rhythm?

  • @asthmaticwheeze Good luck on learning guitar my friend. It isn't easy, but it's very rewarding.

  • Is there any info on exactly what issue of The Beano that Clapton is reading on the cover? Gotta be from 1965-66 I guess.

  • @mandolinroad

I bet Eric would like to have that copy to put on the cover of his new album

  • i remember when i first got this record i just loved it havent listen to it in 25 years man its nice to listen now very well recorded john mayall sings alot like buddy guy on this record and the guitar tone is just screaming shit this is one album im glad to hear again well done man thanks for the video anyways i met jimmy page and shook hands with him i met stevie and shook and talked with him too i closed buddy guys show where he hands me his guitar 25 years ago always wanted to meet eric

  • Super Sweet ; Claptons touch SOARS

  • PLACE !!!

  • NICE SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another #1 in my playlist : rock 60s/70s

    Check it out !

  • why isnt this album on itunes! ugh!

  • Strange Brew solo was apparently a direct take from Akbert King - Oh Pretty Woman

  • This song is unbelievably good. The fact that it's a cover of an old blues song makes it that much more cooler.

  • Clapton's guitar at 1:42 and 3:21 is so unbelievably sweet.

  • cool lookin' guys! so is the music! this album is what I listen to when I'm down!!! In second grade, when I heard it the first time, my older brother played it for me!

  • clapton was at the height of his powers in the bluesbreakers. he wrote some great songs in cream but his playing was becoming really cliched and stagnant towards the end of cream and the summit of his skag years. he played great stuff in blind faith and derek and the Ds but this is it.. solo on "have you heard" is an orgasm of blues

  • Sounds like carlos santana - black magic woman??? What's the truth here, The origins of this rhythm?

  • @springrobin Black magic woman is a peter green song.. peter green followed clapton into the coveted bluesbreakers guitar seat so there's your connection

  • @ApexBozo

    Cool thanks! Appreciate.

  • @springrobin are you kidding this was composed by otis rush in the middle of 40´s......santana maybe was just born.... Otis made the best song blues.....and clapton improve the sound with his guitar.

  • @vmp0001 santana didnt write this song, it was peter green of fleetwood mac when they were a dood blues band in the 60s before stevie 2tone nicks came along. i would reccomend listening to peter green's original version.

  • @guitarplaya786 *good blues band*

  • this song reminds me of late night drunken sex on a million $ balcony overlooing a palm beach!

  • amen

  • Clapton is, was, and forever will be god.

  • YES!!....and he's coming to Auckland in a few weeks time! wonderful. Last time I saw him was in Bristol 1969

  • WHO???? To Auckland I mean. Im on the Coromandel and will be there!!!

  • @xKinseh- i was thinking this!

  • Τα σπάει το κομμάτι!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Cream song "Strange Brew sounds like an evolved version of this song, guitar-wise anyway.

  • @xKinseh I've got Black Magic Woman?

  • @tallorder9

The lead parts are similar to Black Magic Woman, as well as the stop and go kinda groove. I didn't notice that before. What I was talking about before was the rhythm guitar.

  • @xKinseh Wow! I never thought of that, you're right!!!

  • that tone... holy cow

  • megagalatticooooooooooooo!!!!!

  • I can't believe people would rather synthesizers or just 1 or 2 chords overdriven in pop music over this.

  • @jpdidit Don't get me wrong I love the blues with all my soul, but the blues is 3 (in this case overdriven) chords... Just saying.

  • @Blueindiefree i like music that makes me feel something, what ever that may be, i hope i learn tho

  • @ragingstorm33 what a pussy !

  • love this sound.

  • dude he fights every note it sounds sexy

  • @weedannycool

What the fuck do you listen to? Jonas Brothers? Metalica? Clapton alone is better than any of them.

  • clapton is the birth place of those genres so yes they are shit. eveidently u got a super shite taste in music if u think that ppl in the modern social life listen to any of that crap!!

  • @weedannycool

That makes no sense. How does being surrounded by people who like modern pop reflect upon my taste in music? Have you considered that maybe we're not in the same society?

  • To weedannycoo :

That is music. I personally listening for a guitar. It is incredible.

  • I agree. Many people forget about Clapton's days with the Bluesbreakers but that was perhaps my favorite work of his.
