I LOVED THE MANOR I USED TO STAND ON A MILK BOTTLE CRATE IN THE LONDON ROAD END NEAR ONE OF THE GATES AT THE FRONT AS I WAS TO SHORT TO REALLY SEE OVER THE FENCE AT THE FRONT. REMEMBER THE MILK CUP GAME AGAINST NEWCASTLE BRIGGS GOT SENT OFF AND KEEGAN SCORED WITH A FREEKICK FOR THEM BUT OXFORD STILL WON THE GAME .

i remember this. bloody hell. i was a teenage united fan watching on TV - yet another sub standard performance from Atkinson's lot. Even have it on a VHS tape somewhere. How did Oxford get a 1-1 at Old Trafford in the first replay?? Oh yeah, because it was 80s Utd. Fergie should have come in in 83, not 86.

soooooooooooo miss The Manor Ground :( we should never have built that piece of crap Kassam Stadium. These were the glory days and thank god good ol' Deddy Steve has them on youtube. Beech Roader till I die !!!!

I'm a Colchester United fan and we've just lost our Layer Road ground to make way for a plastic identikit 'stadium' miles out of town - with no rise in attendence figures either. I never went to the Manor Ground, but it looks fantastic in these videos, I appreciate how you must feel. I was a Col U season ticket holder for the best part of a decade, but won't be setting foot in the new ground. When will people accept that these new grounds do not constitute 'progress'? :(

i missed the glory days im only 14 ive seen oxfd religated from footy league, lose 2-0 to grimsby , oxfrd utd ruied all around and my first match when i was 7 we lost 1-2 to luton town.....

It's annoying that people are happy with the dross served up at Oxford these days when I can remember many matches like this!
