  • Tht could be a good conter cleaner jk

  • Epic!

  • I have no motor,what can i do?

  • Who has a pager motor no one

  • @xxDirtyGhettoKid Everyone who has a cell phone has one.

  • So technically, I can call the car that I drive a bot, because it moves.

  • @juicebab1 The use of the term "robot" here is because it can react to and interact with its environment, e.g., by turning when it hits a wall. This usage of the term is longstanding. If your car would gracefully turn around when it hits a wall, yes, everyone would call it a robot, too.

  • It 'bugs' me that people are willing call anything that moves a robot.

  • Awesome. A little furry toy on top and I've got a new toy to drive my cats insane with :-)

  • couple two of them and you can steir 8))) just need tiny reciver and microswich...

  • how to you turn it off :/ hmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • @545Leo a switch just something that breaks or make a circuit. so to turn it off would be to lift the wire thats on the top so it dun touch the cell.

  • but when I take the wires on the battery so it does not spin around the widget

  • this has to be good for the ladys :3

  • Cool

  • how to make tingly vibrator!.:3 waaaw!.:3 ,

  • Why dont you sue the HexBug nano company?!

  • @TeenageIronman No interest in doing so. I just wish that people wouldn't say that *we* copied *them.* That's unkind.

  • @guspac88 these were made years before hexbug

  • press 3 repeatedly for "eat it", and 9 for "yo yo"

  • Hex bug its the hexbug we copied this guys idea!!!!

  • hummm.... i'ts not useful at all

  • I emailed hexbug and told them to give you some credit

  • its alive its alive haahahaaa

  • Starts at 2:16 .. You're welcome

  • just keep the handle on for an electric toothbrush

  • WOW 2007 THIS IS WAY BEFORE HEXBUG

  • PEOPLE THIS IS NOT A COPY OF THE HEXBUG NANO!!!! HEXBUG COPIED THIS GUY!!!!!!!!

  • Better than those hex bug things :P

  • nice, tnks for the idea, i'm going to make one

  • ok now put it on your mouth :D

  • Comment removed

  • @guspac88 Get your facts straight. Are you saying that we copied Hexbugs, years before they came out?

  • where can i get the motor thing ???

  • @BoredDRIFTER inside old cell phones.

  • No....Life

  • It's called a hex bug

  • @AssassinsCreed852 No, it's not. A hexbug nano is a Bristlebot clone, not the other way around.

  • @AssassinsCreed852 Yeaaah this was long before hex bugs.

  • wow. It almost looks like it has basic obstacle avoidance that u get from a proper MCU

  • Every kid would be happy with this ,instead of one of those xpensive toys.

  • What if you touch the cables of the engine?

  • que pasa si tocas los cables del motor?

  • Comment removed

  • @risegreymon100 I got my pager motor from an Oral-B pulsar disposable toothbrush (after it was worn out).

Tho it's a bit tricky to get the bot to stay upright. Mine kept falling over until I added some side struts.

  • It's a hex bug!

  • i actually took the vibrator of my phone the only problem is how did you get those wires and how did you connect it to the vibrator

  • reminds me of a snail robot that was on UK tv some years ago in the robot Olympics. Reliable locomotion over solid surfaces.

  • w w w .responsibletechnology . org its time to know what youve mightve been not understanding

  • where could u by the thing that those the vibrate

  • this is were my boredom led me

  • very cool! :)

  • I remember watching this vid back in 2009. Then in 2010 the hexbugs ripped it off XD

  • :D

  • How do you turn it off?!?!

  • @MrQwerty227 lol unplug the battery

  • "these suckers really go!" hahahahahah so glad im baked/

  • this is an excellent toy for a cat

  • pffffffft nano bug lol

  • like a hex bug but faster and home made

  • it is hex bug nano

  • @MultiLDrago You've got that backwards.

  • so hard to make...

  • I used the one in the electronic toothbrush :D

  • @nathanlundholm

    That's what she said!!! ;)

  • Cool... man.... :D

  • Cute!

  • tokyo drift

  • Make a big one and ride it... LOL

  • @NathanLundholm that is the good idea :) :D xD

  • @NathanLundholm LMFAO

  • where i can find this motor or i don't know what is this???where??

  • CLEAN TEETH AND TABLE yeah!

  • mine's with an old ps2 vibrator from a controller...

  • MAN that thing can drift

  • LOL, it runs like screaming.."It's the end of the world!!!"

  • @3xP10d3R you fucking kind hahahahaha

  • very nice easy to make

  • where can i get that motor thing

  • it's alive..,IT'S ALIVE!! mwuahahahahaahaaaaaa!

  • thats neat just like the Hex Bug but faster

  • @oskay ya think that I can use a remote control for this????

  • wow very good. :-)

  • awesome!!!

  • You do realize these are called "Hex Bug Nanos" and you can buy them for like $5 right?

  • @KravVolder You do realize that those are a clone of the Bristlebot, and would never have existed if it weren't for this video?

  • @oskay That's a pretty arrogant and dumb thing to say to be honest. This is a very simple concept, and I seriously doubt that some corporate toy maker scrubs youtube for videos like this to rip off people like you to make toys. The Nano Hexbugs were made after larger ones, it was a logical progression, and had nothing to do with you.

  • @KravVolder Check your history, buddy. Get a clue.

  • @oskay I did check my history you conceited twat. I actually sell Hex Bugs. They started in early 2007.

  • @KravVolder They started by ripping off other small independent designers with their prior toys. The hexbug nano was released in 2009-- more than a year after our video got 14 million views across a huge number of video sites, and more than six months after the Klutz Bristlebot "scandal." Do your research, scumbag.

  • @KravVolder Also, how would you feel if you were a blogger that made some how-to videos, and big toy companies came along and copied your project *without so much as giving you credit?* And then clueless assholes come along to accuse *you* of copying them. Ouch, you asshole. That really hurts.

  • @KravVolder Also, also, the very *day* that they released these, I talked with some of their folks, who admitted that they had seen this. Deal with it, and cool it with insults, okay?

  • @oskay Suuuure you did. Let's see the royalties then boy-o

  • @KravVolder Yes, that would have been nice. We're getting credit on most other brands of these things now. (And, since you're making money on hex bug nanos, the right thing for you to say would have just been a simple "thank you.")

  • @oskay Make money? On hex bugs? Bahahahaha

We sell them for $7 and buy them from the company that makes them for like 6.80. And we almost never sell any. In fact because of how they're packaged I have to explain to parents how the vibrating bullet shaped tube with a vibrating toy inside ISN'T a sex toy.

  • @KravVolder The sex toy aspect is hilarious-- that hadn't occurred to me, but you are *so* right about that packaging. Also, why not get some of the chinese knockoffs-- can't be more than $1-2 each, sell them for $5. Payback karma for the hexbug folks, too. :)

  • @oskay You're implying I have any control over what the shop I work at sells. It's corporate. We can't sell anything they don't ship us.

  • where do you get foam tape?

  • Even faster then hexbug!!!!!!!!!!

  • FAKE

  • @Luicho666 Why would you fake something that's so easy to make?

  • @oskay

    Hahaha,...It's a joke friend.

    Anyway...technically, that's not a robot.

  • cant u use a cellphone vibrator

  • eso no es robot

  • i want to try something like this on a larger scale. it seemed very stable for how tall it was and went pretty fast. imagine a car sized one.

  • awww i wanted a slow bristlebot

  • hahahaha... amazing

  • can i get a thumbs up if you are watching this in 2011

  • lo provare deve ser una pasada 8)

  • put some explosives on it and sell it to the army =D

  • put toothpaste in it then put it in your mouth...

  • This video is really exciting:)

See some of the best homemade inventions at wwwMyZumBee com

  • hahahhaahh nice

  • if you stick two side by side connected by some stiff wire, you could connect a little PCB and make it remote controlled (left/right) :D

  • OMG if you put that in your mouth itd clean for you!!!!

  • @xxFlyHy123xx It's call an electric tooth brush...

  • @Chettie86 yah but you can close your mouth with that one and it'd just go crazy. Electric tooth brushes don't clean for you. You still have to move them. Understand?

  • @xxFlyHy123xx Nope, don't understand. Please elaborate.

  • @Chettie86 You take the robot. Insert into mouth. It slides around your mouth just like a skateboarder shredding in a bowl. It cleans your mouth. It cleans for you. Is that good or do I need to say it slower?

  • lol bought it from klutz :D

  • that is soo cool good job man

  • Reverse mode

  • Respond to this video... my mad contribution ,key words, levitating plant

  • how did you made that?

  • Reminds me of a hexbuxg.....

    They totally stole this idea.

  • @LouisAndPillz

Hexbug is known for stealing ideas from the community ...

the Nano is taken from here and the Spider is JMEmantzel's "Spider Tank" that he was just about to patent.

  • @robotwo That sucks. :(

But it's what happens sometimes with a big corporation.

  • and then you put some grout cleaner on them and have them do all the dirty work!!!!!

  • cool

  • where can i get a motor that you have?

  • lol why you give away James Bond's secrets?

  • Skip a step and buy an electric toothbrush ... it contains one of those motors.

  • thumbs up if this is a basic hexbug nano desighn!

  • sooo caan you get the motor from a cell fone or where?

  • This made my laugh so good. So good.

  • so how do you turn it off???

  • if i made 1 of those id make a little cover over the motor and battery make a face on the edge of the bristle bot then i would name it charlie :) :)

  • Were can I get the motor

  • With an army of these i'll never have to clean the floor agian

  • @melle345 you would they are not controlled. Sooner or later they meet in a corner and stay there till the battery runs out of power.

  • @melle345 omg thats funny

  • Considering a bigger brush to do my everyday cleaning...

  • I knew there was a good reason someone invented pagers.

  • is it possible to connect it to a rechargable triple a battery? if so, how?

  • where i can purchase the motor?

  • @BrickDudeTV butthen you dont get the satifaction of having made it yourself! :D

  • I used my hands instead of "clippers". :P

  • Also u could make a battery powered tooth brush

  • @BrickDudeTV hex bug nano?

  • @bubbaboobabe theyre like these, but already made.

  • @lolipopz564 thank's thats rele kool lol

  • @BrickDudeTV what r thoses?

  • fuck!! kill it!!!!!kill it!!!!!kill it!!!!

  • Wow!!!! U r authentic!!!! AWESOME MAN

It's not an evil mad scientist Laboratories.

  • man hexbugs really ripped your idea off! :p sorry:(

  • this is pretty sweet dude

  • i learned how to make an electric tooth brush

  • @mfljd13 lol

  • this has to be the best cat toy ever

  • wow 3 million cazy

  • OMG I WANT ONE

  • I thought this would be some lame shifting brush bot, but that is really fast!

  • if you turn the battery around the thingy will spin in the other way

  • lol make an army throw some soap on the floor and watch them clean

  • @oskay can i find the pager motor in some home device? and can i use a normal battery instead of watch battery?

  • @MessinAround01 pulsar oral b toothbrush, cell phone...anything small that vibrates. i took apart a big vibrating nail file, and got a HUGE motor, so make sure its small.

  • @lolipopz564 Thanks...

  • It has only one setting, GO.

  • FUCKIN AWESOME!

  • @mclovin1JB

    How exited can you be?!

  • Great, great, great!!!

you must disguise it like a cocroach!! hahahaha

  • I made one of those!

  • How about let's make a very huge bristle bot,

and let's all take a ride.

    That will be fun.

  • now make it remote controlled

  • make two of those, and let them fight to the death!

  • I wonder how fast it would go if you put one of those mini plastic skateboards underneith that bot thing! YOU SHOULD TRY IT! It would be neat! (:

  • washing the floor with a tooth brush never looked so easy, Cinderella could use one of these :B

  • oh my god im so glad my dog broke my cellphone!!!

  • I saw a similar toy sold probably after this video. Nice job!

  • @Riushinn the hexbug? they sell them at toys r us :) more expensive though, pretty sure.
