desde guri conheço o trabalho desta dupla ,na minha casa tinha todos os discos,e a maior parte editada fora do brasil. uma pena mas o musico brasileiro so tem mais valor lah fora !
Los Indios Tabajaras were the GREATEST guitar players in history, no one ever will be able to play like Nato Lima, no one will be able to replace him or get close to him. He is The Greatest Genius of the guitar of all time, for ever. Thank you Nato. Rest in peace.
great! what the fuck am i supposed to do now???? I don't think I wanna play the guitar anymore. I should learn the harp, i don't think there's an icon for that yet.

how is it possible that 2 guys spent 3 years walking 2700Km from their tribe to Rio de Janeiro, learning guitar along the way, having to start to use clothes after problems in some towns, being bitten by a strange creature called "dog" for the 1st time, seeing the "blue horizon" aka the sea for the 1st time, then fall in love with classic music, making great Chopin recordings, ending up in the USA, playing with Chet Akins etc, and I've never seen a movie, book or documentary about them?
Yes rare for sure. Worst is couldn't find a Wikipedia article in Portuguese. The only found are in Spanish and English ( Los_Indios_Tabajaras). Hope somebody from Brasil take the time unless the existing content for the sake of young Brazilian guitar players.
This duo had been in a niche all their own, a cross between classical and pop (catering to sophisticated audiences). It's not meaningful to compare their talents with those who do not belong to their niche, lest one reveals his/her own lack of sophistication.
Unbelievable! Let's see Tony Freakin' Rice or any of the other "finger acrobats" do this tune and pull it off. They can't because they are so concerned with speed, they have no concept of a minor little component of music called "melody." They need to get their Mel Bay Books back out.
For anyone who gets "ticked off" at my statement of obvious truth, believe me, I have the credentials and experience to know what I am talking about.
@bangwhistle69 I don't recall Tony Rice ever trying to pass himself off as a concert guitarist. I thought he is a bluegrass musician, but that is the only music venue I have seen him in playing with the likes of Ricky Skaggs, Sam Bush etc; I haven't heard any guitarist with the clarity of these two.
@bangwhistle69 my dear friend IAM 100% AGREE this Red Indians guy they are playing with their heart and soul and most of all their give is from the heaven no one on earth can stand in their shadow THEY ARE THE BEST EVER .. they are SUPERIOR AND MAJESTIC ON THE GUITAR
can someone tell me how many fingers these guys have ???

The guys who cracked the top 40 with "Maria Elena" (beautifully, by the way) in 1962 play Rimsky-Korsakov. Genius+practice=beauty.
