when you join the defence force you choose what area you want to work in, some go the marines some go army some go navy and some air force, just depends what sort of work you want to do. Sometimes you'll see adverts for people from all sections of the defence force to join the special forces and thats a decision you don't take lightly. I've worked with the marines and found them to be a good bunch of blokes, something the people of the US can be proud of.

no you dont get 8 hrs of sleep. They only require 4 so you dont get much sleep and depending on where,when, and what company will depend on the level of discipline and difficulty.
