If you want a good camera, I recommend Panasonic HDC-SD60. Really nice, despite the weather sensitive microphone and lack of external microphones. Picture quality and zoom are amazing :)
I hope you were giving him the pepsi throwback version, which is made with sugar instead of corn syrup... I'm not sure I would take this risk with a $10000 bird.
It was regular caffeine free. I know enough about bird diet from 30 years experience to know a little will not hurt him. I don't put a price on him as he is like a child to me, but this species would never cost $10,000. More like $1500-2000.
Jerry is absolutely adorable! I have had birds for over 16 years. A little bit of soda never hurts them. cygnus875 apparently is an owner much more fit than sketchedfemme will ever be. Is it jealousy, sketch?

I am currently enrolled in the DMV program in PEI, and specializing in Avian Medicine. Ive worked with birds for 6 years and I own a Blue and Gold Macaw, Blue Crowned Conure and White Bellied Caique, and would NEVER, EVER give my birds Pepsi. The dosage to kill a dog and cat is quite small, so imagine a bird that metabolizes MUCH faster than cats and dogs? You are a complete idiot, who does not deserve to own such a beautiful exotic creature.
If this were caffeinated Pepsi, I would agree with you, but as has been mentioned several times already, this was caffeine free, so the only thing that is remotely bad is the sugar, and sugar in small amounts will not hurt a bird. Over time it could make him fat, but he gets very little and has never been overweight. I have owned birds for over 30 years, so your 6 years does not impress me.
That is an urban myth. Actually, they can and do pass gas along with their stool, which sometimes makes it appear watery and bubbly, and makes a squeaking sound as it passes. Excessive passing of gas is also a symptom of certain infections of the digestive tract.
you go girl. hey mine still alive and ive had them 17 years and yes the love a bit of coke or pepsi. not dailey though. the problem is about these vets is they think they now it all. bet he dont even own a bird just gives bad advise to the poor public.
a little bit of soda is NOT going to kill a HEALTHY macaw, so shush!!!! I let my grey have a sip of my tea every now and again as a very rare treat...we bird owners what is best for our birds. Great that you take your bird camping, involving all the family, keep it up.
I should mention we bought a camper just for him, for climate control, and he has a huge 48 inch dog grate with perches and swings to sleep in or go to if it gets too hot or cold outside.
Oh, hey, I have thought about bringing my B & G camping, but I worry about some craved wild animal...I should post some photos of the raccoons the last time we were camping, about a dozen of them...maybe I will try one day, but somewhere less full of wilderness.
I am very paranoid about other animals, especially hawks since one tried to take my daughter's cockatiel right out of her hands. I stay very close to Jerry, and watch his behavior. They see predators long before we do, so if he starts acting nervous, he goes into the camper until I know it's safe.
All the dumb people thinking they are some aviary dietician giving great advice. Shut the fuck up, clearly you all know nothing. Bird owners know more ok faggots!!!
I agree i used to work with the SPCA and there was a case where it it fried the birds brain and made it very withdrawn and very nasty also this is a blue and gold macaw
Kid "the bird loves Pepsi"
Me. "my Cat loves pepsi"
The world. "every one loves Pepsi" XD

It is okay to give your bird soda but very sparingly, their bodies can't handle caffeine too well also all of the sugars and syrups aren't good too.
Just never let them drink coffee or eat avocados, fucking toxic to them
