  • I'm not sure I want to try Kuk Sool Won, but at the same time the Phillipino Martial Arts are really calling my name. We have a Kuk Sool Kwan gym where i am, but i'm not sure if i want to join or not :-/

  • Good video I like it greetings from Maha Kuk Sool of Florida until the death

  • i love kuk sool won at the moment im a red belt and i go to the 1 in halsworth

  • I love kuk sool won :) and i go to kuk sool won of saint paul :) I'm one of the 1st degree black belts and iv been doing it for around 6 years. if you live near saint paul and you want to do martial arts try kuk sool won of saint paul!!! they have the best instructors and some of the best people you will ever meet

  • Not meening to nit pick or put down any marital art, but even if it is for display purposes only, the strike at 3:22 is the most unrealistic thing i have ever seen.

  • These guys look really good, but a feel the curriculum is to much; I'd be afraid of being a jack of all trades & a master of none.

  • @WildWhiteDignity It's not like that ... everything compliments each other. By the time you achieve black belt, you're likely 5 years into your training, and thats when you actually start learning the actual in depth curriculum. Martial arts has helped me become the person I am today.

  • @CrazyAlex00 so true, you do kuk sool? im a jo kyo nim znd what you say is so true

  • kung fu over the top.....

  • this is sipalki jojooojo

  • I study Wu Shu, Wing Tchun and Tai Chi...

I recognize MANY of these techniques. Interesting. =)

  • 2:19 - 2:29, that's my insructor doing the falls. and the enire falling section is KJN Joseph Foster as well.

  • nice presentation i liked it. it's hard to find kuk sool won school sometime. it's a nice martial art and way to train everything

  • I just started Kuk Sool back in August and I love it! It's interesting and challenging, not to mention pretty fun. I have just been promoted to yellow belt level and I really enoy this form of martial arts!

  • These guys are good.

  • i thought the animal techniques looked a bit ridiculous. particulalry the nipple attack at 3:25 ;)

  • this was excellent! i see some locks and throws which look similar to hapkido

  • Interesting!

  • how old is the video?? Kwan Jung Nym Foster has been my instructor since 2001. And before that it was Master Koontz

  • Oh my God I saw Master Stacy in here!!!! I didn't know he's studied in St. Paul!

  • I believe this is a general-purpose Kuk Sool Won demonstration video that is posted by the St. Paul school for information. The demo takes place primarily in the headquarters school in Tomball, TX.

  • I noticed him too! Do you go to Kuk Sool Won of Spring?

  • I noticed him too! Do you go to Kuk Sool Won of Spring?

  • I read somewhere that Jacie Chan had trained with In Hyuk Soo. Anyone know about this?

  • Excellent.

  • I just LOVE the 1st dan+ uniforms with their silk trims...

    XD

  • ??????????????

  • i love kuk sool

  • Very well produced, who ever made it Great job!!

  • i take kajukenbo in california but there is a kuk school near my area and i might want to join.... nice dojo by the way great area for aerobics.

  • hey I did kajukenbo in P'town back in the '90s. I liked all the hard/soft and different combined styles. This is kinda the same, with many different attributes, but IMHO better, with a lonnnng history behind it. Check out a class at the Kuk Sool Won Dojang. What I like most is that Ego is checked at the door......

  • what longggg history? lol

  • my dojang looks shitty compared to yours,,, i train tkd

  • i'm a red belt in kuk sool won and its great!!! i just cant do my front kick straigh yet but i'm getting there

  • Consuidering how flowing the techniques of taekkyon and weapon systems are, it's a miracle that Korean Martial Arts don't have the kali or filipino knife fighting free-flow "sticky" hand movements of hubud lubud drills used in knife tapping-fighting and panantukan (filipinio unarmed fighting)

  • i wish the dojang in my city looks as nice as yours =/

  • to any one who does not understand Kuk Sool, it may seem there is no power as tincannmann has stated but the truth is this system is concidered a "soft style" using the water princible of flow, the circle princible of redirection of power, and the princibles of harmony. This system is one of the most comprehencive "combat" systems availble to the public to date.

    Pilsung

  • finaly a good ksw vid :)

  • Why is there a complete absence of power, speed and conviction in your techniques?

  • Come to Kuk Sool Won of Chicago

  • the majority of kuk sool schols are known as Hapkido schools in Korea. They are under the Ki Do Association. Training varies but the school I am at is mostly focused on kicking techniques and sport competition. Though we practice ho-shin-sul and hyeung also.

But the emphasis still remains on kicking and nak-bup. What do you think?

  • you do not need to use all force to deafeat/stop an enemy, it also depends if the exercise is fluid or agressive.

  • @tincannmann I would say just come along to any Kuk Sool Won school. You can get alot of power out of small movements.

  • even my kuk sool won instructor said kuk sool won of st. paul is a very good school

  • Where do you practice? and Thank You.

  • Really good!!!

  • I Agree withnall teh comments below.
