That's because the original Japanese version is from Japan after all, it's part of their own history & culture, so of course they know much more about the ways of the samurai & everything else in their tradition.

PR Samurai on the other hand is a joke with the way they handled the theme.

@haviona This is my first time seein' the japanse casst of any of these. The Samurai rangers do look very samurai ! Although the American RPM cast to me was great. They were great actors it was very watchable. I stopped watchin' power rangers when Space ended. Samurai's US actors were like dear in headlights, especially that blue and yellow rangers. UGH.

I watched Jungle Fury, I hated it...actually, the only PR seasons I ever liked was MMPR & PRIS...I don't care for any of the other PR seasons, so I couldn't care less for the characters in PR, both good & the bad.

The original Sentai counterparts are virtually always much better anyway...but I have to admit that the villains in Gekiranger (the Sentai season that Jungle Fury is based on) are among my least liked villains in the Sentai franchise.

Well, there's 35 seasons of Sentai in total so far, starting from Goranger which was aired in 1975 to 1977...so you can watch that if you want to start from the very beginning.

Saban did not adapt Sentai until 1993 with MMPR, which was roughly based on Zyuranger (the 16th season), so all the pre-Zyuranger seasons where never adapted into PR.

If you want to watch the Sentai seasons which were adapted into PR first, then you can start with Zyuranger. It's up to you.

you can go to the Super Sentai Planet website or TV-Nihon to watch or download the Sentai seasons.

Personally, I recommend you watch either Shinkenger, Gekiranger, Magiranger, Abaranger or Timeranger first because they're some of my personal faves =P but again, it's up to you...many of the Sentai seasons are awesome anyway & so much better than their PR counterparts.

Americans "stole" sentai from the Japanese.
