you didnt charge the battery all the way  that is definitly why it is shooting 500 rpm

The Marui's can shoot that. I would not try anything above a 9.6v in this gun.

Hey I was wondering.. where can you find magazines for this gun? My friend of mine was borrowing my gun and somehow lost the magazine and I can't find any at all that does NOT come without the gun. Every cybergun magazine I find, I have to purchase the gun as well which I dont want to do. I heard the Tokyo Marui Fa-mas magazines work, is that true? And is there any other brand of magazines that are compatible?

Guys, if you put an Intellect 9.6v 1600MaH battery in it, the ROF will jump from 8 Rps to about 13 - 14. Its a very nice gun, dont let this chronograph discourage you from purchasing it.
