  • I'm not from the States and have never encountered a raccoon, so I cant really judge what normal wild raccoon behavior is like. But based on my encounters with other wildlife and looking at where he was sleeping and how he responded to you, it almost looks like he's a dumped pet. What to the people with more raccoon experience think?

  • @Tangerinepython I'm also not from the States. Regardless, this critter was not a dumped pet. Raccoons in the city are generally tame, but territorial animals who happily co-exist with people. They'll only attack if provoked. This one just seemed a little lost on the side of a busy street so I directed him to a nearby park.

  • Racoons are not cute, they are wild animals. They will bite you! That's what happened to me. Get a dog instead.

  • @cheeriosinabowl right, because dogs never bite. Raccoons can be domesticated just like any other animal. People are generally the problem when it comes to animals biting them.

  • He is SOOOO cute!

  • that's a funny way to sleep XD

  • i want one !!!! sooo cute!

  • he wasn't too keen on me keeping him, so i let him go in the park :P
