great track, production could be better.particularly with the tinny guitar distortion.still an excellent and original song from a very promising band.good work...
Far from perfect, but still a pretty good attempt at merging the classic stylistic elements of Black Metal and Crescendo-Rock a la Explosions in The Sky. I really enjoyed Roads To Judah for what it was.
@joemj413 ooooo caps, you showed me. Seriously though, you're a major twat, and if you're going to make an attempt at trolling, then don't get pissed when someone responds to your bullshit. That makes you look even more pathetic than you already are.
the only things potentially linking this with black metal are the surface treatment techniques of shrieking and blast beats, both of which sound completely stupid and out of place in this song.
@ventilatedzygote but of course... they obviously forgot to keep your specific tastes in mind when writing music they wanted to play for themselves. they should have thought of your ego (and shitty whining) first.
@BlackEcology This is the same obstacle that youtube commentors trip themselves up on every time. Skim past the meat of the comment, form an emotional impression of it, and reply with a personal attack. I am not so naive as to expect music to be custom made for me, in fact you'd have to be borderline retarded or clinically narcissistic to do that. The fact is, this is post-rock with black metal wallpaper. I guess whether that is a good or bad thing is another topic
@alexmonro83 Then you haven't listened to any black metal. Emperor, Enslaved, Burzum, etc. all create vast soundscapes with a surprisingly low amount of notes.
@aarongtr180 I have listened to black metal and Burzum etc is good & I like it. But I like post rock more which is why I like this more. Although neither is as good as post metal or post hardcore. (in my opinion)
@TRIARII117 I agree. To me, black metal kind of hit a wall in the third wave. Bands were all just sounding the same. And it wasn't even all that good. Black metal turned into a shit storm of bands trying to "out metal eachother." It got away from the music.
@Kafudinahpah dude, you do know that sigur ros didn't invent the post rock right? the only thing similar between these two bands is that they're both post....
Deafheaven in Paris tonight :)

I'm disappointed. Not in the music, but in most of the people who commented on this page. Shut the fuck up and just listen to the music.

@ventilatedzygote In my humble opinion post rock with black metal wallpaper is vastly superior to actual black metal.
