He is a succesful preacher, with one of the largest churches in America, he ministers to thousands of people every week and has a ton of responsibility, so why shouldn't he get paid well and have the nicest stuff? The tithe was merely FOOD & God told the Hebrews (who lived off the land) to take 10% of their increase into the storehouse to be eaten by the Levite priests who cared for the temple. God promised these people (v10) good weather “floodgates of heaven” & (v11) to keep locusts from their crops “rebuke the devourer” - if they complied.

He is a succesful preacher, with one of the largest churches in America, he ministers to thousands of people every week and has a ton of responsibility, so why shouldn't he get paid well and have the nicest stuff? It's obvious that God's blessing is on his life, & that he is an awesome man of God. So what if you don't like his style of preaching? Not everyone is called to the same method of preachin.Instead of bashing him, shouldn't you be happy for him?

@marty17f You can read the Bible through and through and still don't get what the Lord says. Because, the relationship is what matters. All Christ wants to do is establish a relationship with us. The Pharisees kept the law, yet God himself called them wicked. Because Jesus is GOD incarnate and they refused GOD himself. You can't sit on faith because it is an everyday thing. You cant wait for Sunday to be holy and be sinfully adept on Mon-Sat. You are spiritually hungry if u do that.

Feel good sermons will always fill up a church because your telling people what they want to hear.Its called christian light. All his money comes from his books.. So when you are serving God, devoting all your time to a church FOR FREE & on top of that, giving a large percent of what you do make back to the church, then you can talk and bash him.

Why not donate his salary to a real charity like the Red Cross or American Cancer Society, etc.? What he makes goes right back into his own pocket. Luke 20:45-47, Gal.1:6-9, 2 Tim. 4:1-5. So, why does Joel have two mansions in the same city? More like exploitation than need.

I'm not so sure so I cannot say this is good, bad, or okay. I don't want to be judgemental, I think God will give him a just judgement. However the Bible says "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Matthew 19:24), so now it's getting harder and harder for Joel to please God.
