After watching it a couple of times, I realized that the background in the beginning was people moving and not boulders spinning like I thought it was.
I love Touhou and the music, my friend introduced me to it and I soon became addicted to the music and videos on youtube. I haven't played any of the games, but only because my computer is broken and I'm not allowed downloading anything on this one. Yuyuko is one of my favorite characters from Touhou, and singer for this song has a beautiful voice.
As for the 'new' usage of weird, that which is awful and crass surrounds the world and is common. It is that within the true obscure exceptions that the small, yet brilliant beauty of this existence lies. The Wyrd must must be exalted, for if we don't, we choke out what little glimmer of beauty is left in this world.
She's an adorable ditzy, gluttonous princess. I can just see her complaining to Youmu, "Youmu~ I'm Hungry~" and Youmu going "You're ALWAYS hungry, Yuyuko-sama." Plus she's so beautiful, and her Theme song, "Bloom Nobly, Cherry Blossom of Sumizome ~ Border of Life" is both elegant and powerful, or at least it gives off that feeling to me. Really fits her if you know what I mean. I am weird, I know, but who cares? I love my cute little Ghost Princess~
Truth be told, the ditzy part is something she affectates, she's actually pretty intelligent and deep. It's just you'll see her ditzy glutton self played up a lot more in fanart.
Doesn't take away the fact that despite having easily the most heart-breaking backstory in the Touhou series, she's one of the most cheerful and funny characters in the cast. That's what I really like about her.
