  • fado is portuguese

  • She has a very clear, pure and sincere face expression and manner of speaking! That's what I liked a lot.

  • Now that I know, I've read other comments too, I would like to take mine back, if I may. Just keep what I said about Joana! Thanks for the video, Sorin

  • Joana, you are so wonderful, so beautiful. The way you sing brings tears to my heart. But you are also lovely in the way you talk, in the way you smile.

But now I have to focus on this idiot who is asking you all those stupid questions. Most Swedish people speak English alright. But this idiot is a total idiot. But, the only thing that matters is you, your art, your beauty, your everything!

I was very young when Amalia came to Romania. Now I'm old, but I could never forget! Um abraco, Sorin

  • @macacamaca This "Idiot" you are speaking of is someone that had lived in Sweden for only a few months and in a country where they dont really use or even learn english either. He did a great job for the little he knew and if i had the same man doing the interview today, it would be nearly flawless english. Mind your manners and be understanding - Joana knew that he could not speak very well and she had absolutely no problems with it as i made sure of this before this interview started.. Be nice

  • @macacamaca Correction: are speaking of is someone that had lived in Sweden for only a few months and "CAME FROM" a country where they dont really use or even learn english either.

  • MY NAME IS JOANA AMENDOEIRA, AÍ ESTE FADO PARA TURISTAS...

  • "Fado happens in people." -Joana Amendoeira

  • She's beautiful. Look forward to visiting Portugal one day.

  • I'll save you a trip. She already accepted my proposal.

  • @benficaforlife1 I want hear her sing! Is she singing in Houston now?

  • A lovely voice to keep im mind.

  • I am new to Fado, yet I have collected some 40 songs, but I've not heard this one before. Could someone comment with the name of this beautifil song? I don;t think I would want another version - this is a wonderful, moving rendition.

  • The name is FADO PORTUGUES.

It has been interpreted by our most valued Fado singers.

I think it is worth hearig Dulce Pontes.

  • Thank you for the name of this song. I have seen it in some collections and on CD's, but being on a limited budget, cannot buy all of them!

Also, many thanks to FrostWolfie for posting. It is good to have the knowledge of Fado broadened. So far, she, Cristina Branco, Ana Moura, and Amailia are my musical saviors- without the passion of their songs and delivery, modern musical choices would be far the poorer.

  • Joana sings 'Fado Portugues' very similarly to the way Amalia Rodrigues did, which I personally think sounds better than Dulce's hurried, operatic overperformance.

  • Yes!

    Joana is fantástic.

  • if you dont know fado your soul has not yet awoken.

  • Thank you, this was so Beautiful.I adore Fado...

  • Sou brasileiro e adoro o fado.

  • Great Fado and interview! Hope to see more.

  • Finally, REAL FADO!

  • I just have to check that you do consider Mariza a read fadista also but are happy to've found another : )(because Mariza is beautiful and sincere!)

  • Miriza? Yes, of course, as was Amália Rodrigues. Sofia Barbosa is another favorite.

  • I'm with you Mariza, Amalia, Joana and Sofia Barbosa are all amazing. Sofia is interesting because is a mix of africa, soul and fado, the girl should have been around a lot more.

  • sou ingles - mais pra mim vc e "fadista"

  • buenas zinnas

  • Actually one of the best new fado singers.

his version of "Aquela rua" is superb.

    Joana: Pra min a melhor!

  • She is so charming. I would love to see more of her! Fadista!

  • Wonderfull!!!We have to find a lot of videos from Joana Amendoeira!!!

  • man, you're the greatest, thanks for this lovely interview! obrigado pá! ;)

  • She has a beautiful voice.

  • Indeed she has

  • She is a Fado GODESS.. the interviewer is a Swedish flake.. speaking with his nose and talking nonesense..

  • The interviewer is not swedish.. And as i said on the film info he´s not good at english. But that did not stop him from doing this.. He is from Afghanistan and recently got to sweden with a harsh past, so he is not good at english nor is he good at swedish, but that did not stop him for talking to her and doing a small interview, instead of complaining you should be thankful, especially if you liked the interview in question //FrostWolfie

  • My Apologies... God Bless him.. and her .. and you too should be grateful you have other people's interviews and singing to post and for all of us to adore : )

  • No worries ^_^ But other peoples interviews ? this is my project, i managed to catch her at a local establishment, also i edited and filmed this ^_~ You cant do everything yourself ;) Its all about teamwork. But indeed i am grateful ^_^

  • FrostWolfie!

    Thank you!!!

  • You are very welcome ^_^

  • Joana is beatiful... her talent will develop for sure ! Thanks Frostwolfie !

    P.S - maybe you'd like to listen Ana Moura ( Aconteceu )

  • Glad you liked it ^_^ Have not heard of Ana but ill surely look her up :)

  • The more singers of Fado, the more the world will know this 'beauty' of Portugal! Some say true Fado is Amália Rodrigues...Yes, but let Amália be the beginning of many more singers to come.

  • Very true ^_^

  • Thanks for this interview

  • You are very welcome ^_^

  • Famous em Portugal? Lololol...Since when? Vitor Ramos

  • Well since im not from portugal and they kinda said they where abit famous, i wrote as such. But if it will make you feel better ill change it to "A rising new talent in the Fado scene" There satisfied ? ^_^

  • yeah unfortunately she is better known in foreign countries

  • E mais uma vez Amália Rodrigues dá voltas na campa com o mau fado que Portugal produz. Abaixo as amáliazinhas artificiais, viva o fado tradicional!

  • um yeah ^_^ Still im not from Portugal so i have no idea what you are saying ^_^ Hopefully its something good =)

  • Sempre Fado, Sempre Portugal!

  • uh yeah ! Tough im not from portugal i kinda understand what you mean ^_~ Glad you liked it =D

  • It is a good idea interwieing a great singers, at time when they are going up and up.

  • Indeed ^_^ Glad you liked it :)

  • LOVE IT

  • Thank you ^_^ always nice to get positive comments on my work, tough i just noticed that the black bars i added for effect sometimes gets in the way when she is singing -_- have to fix that *lol* but thank you again
