As a Boise State fan, I remember it was an emotionally draining game to watch. When we were up 28-10 or whatever, I thought to myself "this is still the mighty Oklahoma Sooners we're playing." "We're not suppose to be winning this game." Up. Down. Up. Down. Then,... boom WE WIN! OMG! OMG!! (I don't want a rematch... lol. They'd wanna hang 100 points on us!). Thanks for posting. Maplefan you obviously don't have a clue. We're in the top 25 every year with all 1-3 star recruits. We've only had one 4 star recruit in BSU history and thats Jeremy Childs. This shows that we have great coaches and the determination. I'm sure OU had 5 stars riding the bench in that game and we still won. We'll be back in another BCS game within the next 5 years I garuntee it. Thats because we have what many "BCS" teams don't, heart!

there is no way you can put the Boise-Oklahoma game ahead of the Texas-USC Rose Bowl for greatest game of all time. The Texas game was for the national championship and was way better played too. boise-oklahoma was just a wacky game with lots of mistakes and trick plays.

I like how fools try to discredit the win because of "trick plays." The Statue is simply play-action in reverse. Fake the pass, to set up the run, instead of fake the run to set up the pass. And a half back lined up at quarterback, simply becomes the quarterback. The D's assignments should remain the same, but because its a RB with the ball, they drop their assignments, and allow themselves to be "tricked" but its just a run-as pass option. Not a brain buster, no big trick.

That was a great game, but my God, WAC fans, they're right! The Sooners should have won that game. Boise State played valiantly, but in the end they had to rely on trick play after trick play. If just one of those gimmick plays fails, Boise State loses. But the Broncos played hard AND got really lucky.
