TBC is undeniably the best expansion this far. Many great this has come since then, but the expansion in it's entirety was AMAZING. So much to do, the zones were cool and unique, World PVP still existed and the raids.. Wow.. The FUCKING RAIDS!!!

I agree with Catalyst, Cataclysm did things to WoW that turned it into a mindless game. I enjoyed the story when I went through the places in Cataclysm for quests, but overall, they don't emphasize the story like they used to =l Still a fun game, which is why I'm gonna try to get the Warcraft series and some books hopefully. I really mostly play for the GAME, not the play.
TBC was indeed the pinnacle of this game. I however, feel that WotLK was the beginning of the end for this game. Cataclysm was fine, what ruined it was Blizzard going back on so many promises and simply abandoning much of the playerbase. It was still a necessary expansion however imho. I look forward to Mists.

Because Illidan was never much of a warrior and Arthas trained his entire life to be a swordsman by the best trainers Lordaeron had to offer. In the end his flashy blades didnt help Illidan much.
Arthas probably won more from luck. Remember the Wotlk quest The Prince and the Hunter? Illidan had a serious advantage over Arthas, yet ultimately lost. Arthas was probably still much weaker than Illidan prior to transforming into the Lich King. Illidan would had completely annihilated Arthas if he had transformed into demon form. He wiped out Tichondrius, most powerful of all Dreadlords. Arthas was nothing compared to Tichondrius
Except Illidan still chose to melee with an expert swordsman instead of using his magic. Dont forget that the Lich King gave the last shreds of his power to Arthas before the battle and even a depowered Arthas killed and raised Sapphiron effortlessly. He was the strongerst death knight and an expert swordsman even without further empowerment too.

@muslymier I do think it's a very solid theory that our very own favorite demon hunter would get the blow on Sargeras, seeing as Blizzard are working on a redemption story for him, and he really is THE demon hunter.
For all the people reminiscing for Vanilla and Cata, there was less to do. Yes they trend in the xpacs is to garner more players by making the game easier and the grind less. However, all vets know that the game really begins at end game max lvl, where you decide to raid and/or pvp/arena. Its the guild/relations you make in the game when you raid or PVP that makes it fun.

@Eragon537744 Cata didn't carve up the lore. Neltharion (Deathwing for you simpletons) was bound to return and, since he's the Aspect of Earth, he decided to completely decimate Azeroth upon his reentry.
Mists of Pandaria does have lore. Warcraft 3 had a Pandaren Brewmaster class, and ever since then Blizzard has added tidbits of Pandaren lore every now and again. Pandaria has always existed on Azeroth and so have the Pandaren people, it just goes unnoticed by ignorant people such as yourself.

Cata you can stay in a city and queue your way to 85 (as most vets will tend to do) or you can go out and explore/dig etc. For new players actually the choices given to level up by quest grinding or just instance grinding is refreshing. Choice.

BC killed off its main "baddie" in 2.1 (far faster than Deathwing), and proceeded to pull things out of its ass for the rest of the Xpan. @Archinol wow is for many people the most epic game experience when they starting to play it, back then it was just epic, you feeled really good when you reached something, but in fact the expansion in which you started will be the most epic experience for you, so there could stand any other expansion....
deathwing can't get to outland and without illidan and with the legion pushed back it is liveable, the titans can then re-originate azeroth destroying deathwing and the old gods with it then creating a new world with new guardians.

second --- > it is long to test you if you deserve it if you are angry to explore and fight everyone for the lore of it then you don't deserve the item ...
40 man raids --- > 1---> required MAX TEAMPLAY --- > and they were hard like shit not like now ...

Believe me, I WISH I had played during BC. When I leveled through those zones, I was really captivated. Netherstorm is still my favorite zone in the game.

@Szgerle FYI ive been playing since beta. And it didnt costed (cost you moron) the game anything, rather gained them more subs = more money. As for the loot, I will admit I miss actually working for purples like back in vanilla and since the end of TBC/WOTLK the points system has been giving raid gear to non raiders. But to be honest, you have to be pretty fucking asinine to try to lead 25-40 people 2-3 days a week for 3-4 hours. It becomes work. Thus I PVP. Fuck your ASSumptions.
Just comparing raids, I was really disappointing with the "epicness" of ICC
BT was fucking amazing I remember first time in there I had goosebumps but ICC never gave me that. But people needs to STFU about wanting TBC back, If you actually played TBC you would know there were major problems with it, blizzard keeps improving on the worlds with each expansion, I just hope they can maintain making raids that have a truly epic feel.
I think an Argus based expansion could recapture the same feeling of this raid. Definatly something with the Legion in, they just feel more epic than the Scourge
@22Lonewolf77 True, however, there is one aspect I really wished Blizz took from TBC and reused, and that would be multiple raids per tier. They kinda began with it when Cata came out, but with the release of firelands, all we're getting is 7 new bosses and some dailies. As cool as the new zone is, I'd prefer a series of raids to be released instead, rather than just one raid and a new zone.

Even if I've played since Vanilla, TBC was the most nostalgic and best for me. And everyone who complains about expansions.. It's not actually the content that's bad, it's that we all just miss the times when we were stupid idiots adventuring in a whole new world. If they would've not made TBC, WotLK ( Which was the worst thing ever happened to WoW imo ) and Cataclysm, everyone would whine about how boring the game is. Expansions are inevitable if you want to keep the game interesting.

Vanilla was the start of something great.
Burning Crusade was the pinicle of the adventure and the best content for PVE by far. PvP arena was also literally invented in BC.
WOTLK made pve rotations better and smoothed out a lot of PVP kinks. It also gave us Ulduar.
Cataclysm removed the entirety of the adventure and turned wow into a meaningless number grind where you never need to leave stormwing/orgrimmar.

deathwing can't get to outland and without illidan and with the legion pushed back it is liveable, the titans can then re-originate azeroth destroying deathwing and the old gods with it then creating a new world with new guardians.

40 man raids --- > 1---> required MAX TEAMPLAY --- > and they were hard like shit not like now ...

@Szgerle FYI ive been playing since beta. And it didnt costed (cost you moron) the game anything, rather gained them more subs = more money. As for the loot, I will admit I miss actually working for purples like back in vanilla and since the end of TBC/WOTLK the points system has been giving raid gear to non raiders. But to be honest, you have to be pretty fucking asinine to try to lead 25-40 people 2-3 days a week for 3-4 hours. It becomes work. Thus I PVP. Fuck your ASSumptions.

Just comparing raids, I was really disappointing with the "epicness" of ICC
BT was fucking amazing I remember first time in there I had goosebumps but ICC never gave me that. But people needs to STFU about wanting TBC back, If you actually played TBC you would know there were major problems with it, blizzard keeps improving on the worlds with each expansion, I just hope they can maintain making raids that have a truly epic feel.

@22Lonewolf77 True, however, there is one aspect I really wished Blizz took from TBC and reused, and that would be multiple raids per tier. They kinda began with it when Cata came out, but with the release of firelands, all we're getting is 7 new bosses and some dailies. As cool as the new zone is, I'd prefer a series of raids to be released instead, rather than just one raid and a new zone.

Even if I've played since Vanilla, TBC was the most nostalgic and best for me. And everyone who complains about expansions.. It's not actually the content that's bad, it's that we all just miss the times when we were stupid idiots adventuring in a whole new world. If they would've not made TBC, WotLK ( Which was the worst thing ever happened to WoW imo ) and Cataclysm, everyone would whine about how boring the game is. Expansions are inevitable if you want to keep the game interesting.
