Taeyeon's voice is naturally a bit higher than Luna's, and she has a tendency to sometimes pinch her voice on high notes, where as Luna is a lot smoother. Tae does have more control, but that comes with practice and performance experience, which she has more of.
Luna's voice just sounds very "young". She prolly can sing upbeat songs, but not this kind of song. Her voice is just not as suited for ballads compared to someone like Taeyeon.
Personally I prefer Taeyeon's voice not because Taeyeon necessarily has more control or emotion (though it's true), but I think we're missing the point here: It's the type of voices they have. Luna can hit the notes and stuff, but I really find her voice too high and thin, whereas Taeyeon's is deeper and richer, and therefore more soulful. One of the best female singers in K-pop for sure. In fact one of the best female idols overall like in terms of dance and personality too and appearance. Personally I think she's better than Taeyeon in terms of singing but that's just my opinion.

I don't know why, but when I watched this I felt like crying.. I can't even understand Korean. that just shows how powerful her voice is and how moving it is. Just like many of you said she's young, she will go far in her music career. I wish SM would give her the chance to make a solo and be more recognized. I feel like she's very underrated. It seems kind of odd how Krystal gets alot more attention compared to Luna, 'cause Luna is the voice of f(x) and she has real talent. @0ohTOObuck Krystal WOULD'VE been trained at the young age of 5 if her parents allowed SM Entertainment to recruit Krystal, but her parents felt she was too young, so they had SM Entertainment train Jessica instead. It wasn't until 2006 that Krystal's parents allowed their youngest daughter to train with SME. If it weren't for her parents, Krystal would've been trained the same amount of years as her sister.

I love this performance so much. ^_^ I wanna see SeoHyun play this on the piano, and Luna singing it. Maybe at an SM Town meet one year? :] It sounds wonderful.
She's got sooo much talent, especially for one so young. TaeYeon is a great singer in her own rights, but as far as the KPop industry..

One of the best female singers in K-pop for sure. In fact one of the best female idols overall like in terms of dance and personality too and appearance. Personally I think she's better than Taeyeon in terms of singing but that's just my opinion.

With all the new kpop female idol groups popping out, it's really nice to have someone like Luna who I can listen to. For her age, she's arguably one of the BEST female idol singers out there. The range and her control she has over her voice is absolutely amazing. Not only is her voice charming, but so is her personality. In that sort of industry, people like Luna will truly succeed for a long time.

Wow! She can really sing! Luna got my attention when I watched f(x)'s Mr. Boogie because she was the one doing the adlibs :D and from what i see in youtube, she has a lot of solos. Her voice sounds mature for her appearance :D

no need to bash krystal and compare her to her sister, to luna, or to other girl group member. she got enough time training to become an artist (which idol groups underwent too). I seriously think that she is more talented than most of girl group members (she can sing, well maybe not as good as her sister or luna, she dances really well and not to mention, she's pretty), and she's still young, and there's more room more improvement.

Seriously, why are people comparing jessica and krystal... they are sisters, they have differences and fans need to accept the fact that krystal has her own charms, singing skills, and dancing skills...krystal has a long way to go... she is only 16-17... in my opinion people saying krystal isnt far from jessica's league... ummm jessica has been in a musical, she has had solo's and duets way more than krystal.. and once again krystal has a long way to go..krystal is a good actress by the way..=D

I don't know why, but when I watched this I felt like crying.. I can't even understand Korean. that just shows how powerful her voice is and how moving it is. Just like many of you said she's young, she will go far in her music career. I wish SM would give her the chance to make a solo and be more recognized. I feel like she's very underrated. Maybe it's the fact that she's not the Korean type ideal unlike Yoona or Sulli. but Luna has a more American style. she has everything!

@12zuzus I agree! These days we don't find many newcomer kpop bands with members with such talent like Luna's. I have to say that Luna was well chosen.. It seems kind of odd how Krystal gets alot more attention compared to Luna, 'cause Luna is the voice of f(x) and she has real talent. Not saying that Krystal does not have talent, because she can dance pretty good, but more focus and attention should be put on Luna as she is a true star with lots of potential.

@0ohTOObuck umm, i think we r being a bit harsh on krystal coz people think she gets a lot of "underserved" attention for being jessica's sister.... but i think it hasnt worked in her favor~ shes worked really hard to get into f(x), shes been with SM for a while despite her young age~ i think shes pretty, a nice girl, above average singer (considering how many idol singers CAN'T sing), and a way above average dancer~ yet ppl just assume shes famous coz of sica, and they never look at her talents

@wing834 honestly, i think she's gotten too much attention being jessicas sister, even with little commercials, comments will always bring up her beings jessicas' sister. i have yet to really see her dance though, so i can't assume she can't, y'know? but i've heard her singing, and she's not that strong, she does have a nice tone though i must say. other than a few performances i've seen and some mvs, but nothing really popped out to me =/

@wing834 but you have to admit, she's popular mainly because of jessica. and i even i think that i'm more harsh on krystal than on jessica; because of the huge gap of training. i just think jessica deserves it, and krystal, i don't know. i don't know how long she's trained, but def not near jessica. but, i can't criticize f(x) that much, since i don't pay attention to them lol. all i can say is, luna definately proved her part, krystal just has to show more of her qualities lol

@0ohTOObuck Krystal WOULD'VE been trained at the young age of 5 if her parents allowed SM Entertainment to recruit Krystal, but her parents felt she was too young, so they had SM Entertainment train Jessica instead. It wasn't until 2006 that Krystal's parents allowed their youngest daughter to train with SME. If it weren't for her parents, Krystal would've been trained the same amount of years as her sister.

@angskeet That is true. I mean, i give krystal full credit on that aspect. That's the difference between the two though, and probably why Luna's voice is very.. Naturally powerful. Know what I mean? Krystal's voice can sometimes be forced, even though it's still really pretty. The sound just sort of falls outta Luna's mouth, though. Idk, they're both pretty great.

@0ohTOObuck well, i don't think her attention is because she's jessica's sister... honestly, i feel kind of bad for her, because like you said, everyone only sees Krystal as Jessica's sister. whenever someone brings up Krystal, they always think just of "SNSD Jessica's Sister"
i guess, i love krystal because of her cuteness, and I think that her singing is beautiful ( but that's just me). ah well..we all have our different opinions of people, and i guess Krystal just popped up to me. ;)

@WyPotter well everybody has their own opinions right? :) I think I'm more harsh on singing just because I've taken such classes and such, even with dance, but heck, i don't know much about dance LOL. I'm just saying with krystal's voice, she's not a strong vocalist. I think some people would find it soothing, but if you were to give her a song like this one, her voice would crack, or it just wouldn't come out, I'm not saying she's a horrible singer, she just needs more practice
