yes he is a big fan. Too long to explain, but he deals with the eternal issue : is it possible to write from a criminal's point of view (like Bret Easton Ellis in "American Psycho" ? Can the "Shoa" be the subject of a novel ?

@guzy1971 Thanks for that. Given that I am a big fan of American Psycho, difficult read that it can be, I am very much looking forward to reading 'The Kindly Ones'.

Yes, be aware that it is very different from "american psycho" as for the "style" (don't know english word"). It's very documented from an historical point of view. For me, It's a kind of nazi western in the russian wide spaces. Never forget that the russian front was the big deal of the ww2. More than 80% of german soldiers who died durning the war were killed on the russian front. that's why it's disturbing : you can feel the epic of the mad nazi project.

tres tres bon livre ,mais moi ce qui m'a pas convaincu dans le personnage de Max Aue c'est le fait qu'il soit a la fois homo ,parricide, insestueux,schyzo,intelo,human­iste...

bref sa "personalité multiple" ;je trouve que ca fait trop pour un seul homme .

Explication très convaincante sur les mérites d'un roman lisible et ô combien "interpellant", ne serait-ce que pour la sympathie ou l'empathie avec laquelle on suit parfois son héros, sentiment qui surprend et surtout dérange: un bourreau ne m'est pas étranger, suis-je alors moi aussi susceptible d'être un bourreau?
