The Sonic in Unleashed, Colors, and Generations is just nonstop boosting with no platforming.

I actually liked Sonic better than Mario with SA/SA2.

But with the introduction of Unleashed, and through Colors and Generations, Sonic took on a stiff, racecar-like form I despise, and Mario went on to have the 2 best games ever made.

Sega needs to get the developers of Sonic Adventure back. ;(

Reportedly, the reason why haven't made a crossover yet is because they've yet to figure out a way how the exploration aspect of Mario and the speed aspect of Sonic can gel.

While I admit, this looks fun, I would appreciate a proper cross-over. You could keep the same basic gameplay elements between the two, but just have Sonic and Mario in swapped worlds. I'd be perfectly content with that. And Mario needs a tanooki suit. That's my only request.

@Seb0astian I agree, but at this point in time, it's a little too late. If a Mario/Sonic adventure game came out during the GameCube era, it would've been perfect. Sega just went third-party and GameCube was slumping in sales. Doing it now won't be the same because Sonic isn't a respectable franchise anymore. It gets a lot of criticism (even with good games like Sonic Colors and Generations) and most of the fanbase complains too much.
