@boilingpoint3 Yeah i kinda feelt like that as well, i mean ok once or twice! But this guy is almost trying to make out with the set all the time touching it!
"Ringo" fans.... I hope U will check out the video for my song " RINGO ". It's a very retro video with Beatleish touches. It was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. The song and video is my attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
I already found out why. It wasn't for either of those reasons. Vintage drums often used a 3 ply shell, either maple or mahogany sandwiching a ply of poplar. It apparently gives off a nice tone.
everything is "outsourced" these days apparently ludwig has"outsourced" the ability to do custom work!! they look nice ,but do you think the crystals will stay on?
Most likely it is due to the fact that they paid the price to get Ringo's exclusive rights. Name drummers like Starr often choose drums just like star athletes choose sneaker. It's all about the contract.
@juandv93 my bands drummer is on the same company and one of ringos drum kits held his up for about three weeks. ringo likes his drums made by c&c because since they're a custom drum company they put more time into what they do. it's kind of like how your mom always makes sandwiches better than anyone else
why is the drum maker such a buzz kill. he's working with ringo and seems like he could give a rat's arse. get some sleep mate. too bad they couldnt put a swivomatic mount on. that new mount looks so lame. night sky? looks like a sorcerer's cape.
Did this lead to C&C making their own Maple Poplar Maple shells?

Isn't this like Chevy making a Ford? Am I missing something?

@Drumlord009 but C&C wins on sound quality, and that's what is important :)

sweet kit, but why use a ply of poplar???!!!
PentucketXC05 2 years ago
Because it's sturdier and it sounds different.

i dotn understand why c&c is making ringo ludwig kit??
juandv93 3 years ago 26
Probably because Ludwig can't.

hope they used an epoxy or something strong.

Because LD is not a custom kit maker, and farmed out the work.

Think they aren't building the kit from scratch, they are probably doing what west Coast Customs does for old cars. pimping them up.
This probably was a stock Ludwig kit that Ringo wanted customized in a way that Ludwig themselves couldn't do.

@juandv93 on the badge and the head theres C&C but in honor of ringo (who was always playing ludwig) they put a ludwig head on it in case of tribute
Superpui42 10 months ago
@juandv93 Because C&C is a badass custom shop, and Ludwig is not.
