I really love Aurora but this is insane. She brags about her royalty, wants a bush as a teddy bear, and wants things pink! I miss the classic one badly...

Aurora looked better with the peasant dress rather than this commercialized looking pink dress (commercialized as in I've seen it in almost every Disney Princess related merchandise on the market today)...
and the art deco inspired animation and the original voice (though this voice seem to be appropriate since the original made her sound like someone in their 20s).
I would be better if the voices who played Cinderella and Prince Charming in Cinderella II and III (omg Cinderella's singing voice was beautiful as well - WAY better sounding than THIS) played aurora and philip heree.
But...it's not THAT bad. In my opinion. And Philip sounds alright. But he sounded hotterr before ><

@Blooberi800 The original Sleeping Beauty is over 50 years old whilst The Little Mermaid is just over 20 years old. Also Mary Costa was in her early 30s when she did Aurora, Jodi Benson was in her late 20s when she did Ariel. They were both almost the same age but the film year difference makes the change. Mary is now in her 80s and would be far too old to voice Aurora, considering she's meant to be a 16 year old princess, not an 80 year old grandma.

You know what's really weird about this short is that they seem to match the voices of the fairies, the kings, and even the queen perfectly. But Aurora and Phillip sound NOTHING AT ALL like they did in the original film? What the hell?!

This is sad. It's so sugary that it grates my nerves! That aside, Disney has some of the most unrealistic portrayals of royalty; a princess holding power is the exception to the rule as far as history goes. Princesses were married off young and were essentially household managers and baby-machines for the family dynasty.
@bluethunder25 You hear the voice acting for these girls? Just imagine them trying to pull off snow white's unique voice. In something like this where they're onscreen longer than in a game cutscene AND they have to sing, IT WOULD BE HORRIFIC. Let's think of it as a blessing that they haven't tried it yet.
Aurora's original voice was so much better. Also, most disney princesses are too thin. I'm quite skinny myself, but I still felt a bit self conscious while watching The Little Mermaid. It was a relief to see that Sleeping Beauty was in no way anorexic but in this she's been made just as skinny, giving young girls stupid "ideal body types".
This is modern Disney's cheap idea of trying to pull Aurora off as independent. As times have changed, Disney have realised that some of their older princesses just don't fit with modern standards for women, so they come up with these cheap sequels in a pathetic excuse to update the characters with modern values of feminism they never originally had. I'm a girl, I'm pretty intelligent but I still like the original Aurora better. Atleast her voice actress was an opera singer and not a pop singer!

screw this crap. So someone has an overgrown tree in their yard, and Aurora wants to have a "royal groundskeeper" deal with it. I hate disney. They glorify the idea of royalty and government. Aurora and her family have nothing, only the wealth they stole from their people so they could live in palaces. Kind of funny how it rings true, with all the paperwork and forms. Its the typical bureaucracy of a government. Kings,Queens,Princes,Princesses should not exist in this day and age.

@Blooberi800 The original Sleeping Beauty is over 50 years old whilst The Little Mermaid is just over 20 years old. Also Mary Costa was in her early 30s when she did Aurora, Jodi Benson was in her late 20s when she did Ariel. They were both almost the same age but the film year difference makes the change. Mary is now in her 80s and would be far too old to voice Aurora, considering she's meant to be a 16 year old princess, not an 80 year old grandma.

This is sad. It's so sugary that it grates my nerves! That aside, Disney has some of the most unrealistic portrayals of royalty; a princess holding power is the exception to the rule as far as history goes. Princesses were married off young and were essentially household managers and baby-machines for the family dynasty.

Aurora's original voice was so much better. Also, most disney princesses are too thin. I'm quite skinny myself, but I still felt a bit self conscious while watching The Little Mermaid. It was a relief to see that Sleeping Beauty was in no way anorexic but in this she's been made just as skinny, giving young girls stupid "ideal body types".
Also, PHILLP'S VOICE IS SH***!

This is modern Disney's cheap idea of trying to pull Aurora off as independent. As times have changed, Disney have realised that some of their older princesses just don't fit with modern standards for women, so they come up with these cheap sequels in a pathetic excuse to update the characters with modern values of feminism they never originally had. I'm a girl, I'm pretty intelligent but I still like the original Aurora better. Atleast her voice actress was an opera singer and not a pop singer!
