Friedrich Nietzsche - Gebet an das Leben

As a friend loves a friend,

so I love you, enigmatic life!

In ecstasy or tears,

given pain or lust,

i love your bliss and injuries.

if you must destroy me

harshly tear me out of your embrace

as a friend is torn from a friends chest.

Very rough translation but the best I can do in a few minutes given my English and the specific difficulties of Nietzsches writing ;)
