Trust me I had my foot to the floor and it hit the limiter and slowed down by itself. I've got the good ol' 4cyl 3S-FE, auto, you must either have the stick shift I4 or the V6, yes?

i had a 89. it was a nice car. to bad the tranny failed. at over 200k.

now a 88 accord LXI i had was even nicer. did over 117mph(not even going down hill...lol) some of the late 80's early 90's toyotas and hondas were the best!

i never knew an 88 camry have that type of power.i got an 88 camry base expect for cruise control and i only got it up to 80 mph.and i love my car never goes wrong.even of it goes go wrong the parts r cheap to buy.still it has 109,600 miles on the clock for today.

It is a fun car, but not the safest thing with no airbags. If it has under 200,000 miles then it definitely has life left in it you should get a good few years out of it. cheap reliable transportation.

Hahaha yeah, I would be so mad if it didn't work as I use it almost daily :)

It's pretty much a perfect first car; easy to drive (car turn the wheel with your pinky and wide windshield and side glass for good viewing area) good gas mileage. All it's missing are up to date safety features, you would totally die in anything but a minor accident unless you got lucky. Esepcially once the rust hits!
