Hey Cessna, I just got REX 2.0, and I had a question about the Cloud Formations, I do a lot of flying all over and I really just cant find a general HD Cloud Formation I really like, Any Recommendations?

rex is a boss, i have it. not only does it improve weather and clouds, but it improves everthing else, water roads, buildings, lighting ect.

I don't get why people buy REX. It's a flight simulator, not a weather simulator. You SHOULD spend the money you buy on this program and buy a realistic FSX add-on plane that you can actually get a good FLIGHT simulation, not a CLOUD simulation.

its about making it as real as possible. That isnt any good if you have a top of the line Addon aircraft from say PMDG or CLS, or scenery from Flytampa or something with shitty wx. the WX in FS is just as important as anything else.

REX is something you can use every time you run FSX. Other add-ons, such as aircraft or scenery, are restrictive in a sense that your won't use that aircraft every time and you won't use the same add-on airport scenery for every scenario. REX allows you to improve the basic FSX structure.

REX doesen't decrease my FPS AT ALL. Some people on forums have even reported FPS INCREASES with REX.

i know i have the pmdg 747-400 on my laptop and i thought that was goin to kill my fraps but for some starange reason the pmdg runs better than the default 747 and i can keep all the graphics up high

I think it takes pretty big hit on your FPS. Clouds, only 1-2, but if you have 2x waters with REX waters (atleast with BOUY) the hit is ~5-10 on my comp. Its pretty big hit on 20-30 fps, when it may go down to 10, witch isnt smooth. My computer can found on my channel description, but it certainly isnt low-end, bought in december, with latest hardware. (no i7 920)

Depends from computer to computer. If you have a very good computer like Cessna, it should 1 or 2 FPS.

Set the weather to have overcast skies... and fly on top of the clouds. Its a 100% gurrentee that your gonna get a frame loss. (If you have the clouds in HD)
