I'm all too keen to blame Tilke too but then I played f1 2010 and whilst I appreciate the physics are terrible, there are some great Tilke tracks on there that would be great in real life if F1 cars didn't spit out so much dirty air.
@Malosovich My favourite Tilke tracks are Turkey and Korea. The latter will look great when the surrounding circuit bits are finished. I just wish we still had gravel traps then they would be really good
lol everyone on youtube had to add that little extra, why not just title the fucking video properly lol. The person on this video says 180mph, the title says 190mph, why add, why try and big the videos on here upto more than they are, everyday i watch loads that are less than the title says and then people wonder why the page is full of comments such as, crap video, fucking shit title etc etc, ok this ones not to bad cos 180mph, 190mph whats the difference, but still.
Berger was very brave, particularly before his Imola bbq. Look at the cars and the track, how boring is today's F1 in comparison. These days if a driver runs of the "track" they are still on the tarmac.... No wonder i fall asleep during the races.
That was a dangerous move that Cheever did, could've been a whole lot worse, luckily Berger came to rest without hitting anyone or anything. I wonder what he said to Cheever when he saw him in the pits after qualifying....
Blame Tilke all you want - but this is really the fault of the formula. Today F1 cars derive most of their downforce from wing surfaces rather than ground effects. As a result, they simply can't follow each other closely through high-speed corners and passing is almost impossible.
A 2010 F1 car (even the HRT) can take Eau Rogue flat-out on full tanks. As a matter of fact, they can straight-line such a corner in the dry..
@Jackstick80 problem was the safety. the track was too fast ,and because it jutted eep out into the forest, safety crew would take a while to get to a crash. Herman Tilke did the best he could do, with the cramped infield the old circuit left behind. And it's not such a bad circuit now is it?

I was gonna say, it's only 10mph; give it a break, Lol! :)

Both descriptions are false! F1 went those years around 205 mph before braking into the Agip turn.

Anybody know who the commentator is. I recognise the voice but I can't put a name to it.

Stirling Moss I believe.
I wish they hadn't changed this circuit, has no character now (thanks Hermann Tilke) - no wonder it alternates with the Nurburgring these days

You're right. It is Stirling Moss.
