Mac's. For simple people who can't use or look after their PC. So they buy an over priced MAC, When you can get a PC for less with possibly better hardware. Still like that today i'm afraid.

I think apple decided to not do the "costs less" or the "it's that simple". I mean I could by 2 pcs of the same speed as 1 mac. And when I tried to get videos on my computer off my ipod touch it wiped everything.

They were never lower priced. They must be comparing the mac to a very high end PC to say "it cost less". PCs at the time did need some simple coding to run some programs however.
