Usually when a band takes a step backwards it's because they rushed the release of a new album and the riffs are similar to their prior release and the lyrics are terrible but the overall style is still there. Black Tide has killed themselves by changing all the above and are now lost somewhere in the crowded metalcore/Emotalcore scene. For a definition of emotalcore I'll be glad to explain. They are almost one and of the same.

What Interscope records doesn't realise, is that by keeping this band thrash they would have become much more successful than the short hair spacer metalcore fags they have now become... There is plenty of metalcore out there and a huge shortage of fresh THRASH. Not saying they aren't good anymore, but they could be a lot better and more importantly more original...
