  • Great video Showing the approach from the east at sunset the second runway

(23L) is visable half way along the runway being landed on (23R)

I have only ever flown out of MCR April 2005 returning to Birmingham Intl also Jan 2009 I have never landed there but hopefully in 2011 I will get the chance on my return to the UK the approach takes in views of the A34 and the M60 Gatley, Cheadle and Woodhouse Park the area my Father grew up!

  • u know manchester airport is meant to be the 2nd biggest after Heathrow coz its got 2 runways

  • nice video. beautiful scence and nice sunsets over manchester

  • Poor centreline tracking I thought and the s.o.p's sounded like they needed some work. Apart from the float past the touchdown zone and the points mentioned above. It was the mutts nuts. What is a fokker100 anyway? A flying trabant my mate neil says, hugs from buzz!

  • He didn't float at all, the main gears touched down RIGHT on the TDZ, and you can land anywhere inside those white piano keys. Poor centreline tracking? On the air or the ground? Both were perfect, on the ground he only strayed slightly to keep the wheels off the annoying lights, and then to turn off. Seriously, what are you talking about?

  • dear blueb0g

Seriously, what am i talking about!!! Firstly you can't land inside the piano keys! They represent the start of the runway, normally crossed at 50ft. Considering i line trained the man, his centreline tracking was ok (considering he's got a lazy eye). The reason he didn't float was due to the hump in the runway. As for straying off the centreline on the ground, this is due to his orthopedic shoe, having a shorter right leg. hence poor rudder control.

    game,set,match

    hugs

    jumbomumbo

  • I'm sure he knew about the hump, and was aiming for it! Franky, pilots rarely stay dead on the c/l, and if you drift off a bit it really doesn't matter!

  • KLM !

  • That was fantastic!

I have never seen something like this before flying into Manchester!!

    More Please! :)

  • Fantastic, extra fantastic quality!

  • I agree with blueb0g, thanks for posting this 5/5*
