  • Without any prosperity, what would make anyone else feel like accepting Jesus as their savior? What will they have to base their faith on?

  • This is correct. Jesus rebukes the rich in the gospels...he says it would be "easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God." Jesus commands a rich man to sell all of his goods and give the proceeds to the poor and needy and he was sad about it! (Mark 10: 17-25) We are not to dwell on possessions but if we come into wealth, he commands us to sell it and give it to those who need it most! {Matthew 19:21). Wealth is not needed as a Christian.

  • Pastor Piper is right. I first heard this message from David Wilkerson via YouTube. As I watched a few Christian T.V. shows I paid attention. Most of the message was prosperity driven, very little scripture, and most shows didn't even offer an invitation to Christ....

  • Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits...19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. This is in the same chapter of the verse saying Do not judge lest ye be Judge. Jesus is very clear to judge those who claim to be from him in order to know if they are true! Now Christ promised persecution and death.

  • Jesus said it is not what someones appearance that makes them unclean but what comes out of the mouth, that makes him unclean. Actions, yearnings, cravings and desires show if someone is unclean. Christ said if you are not willing to give up all that you have you cannot be my disciple. So the true Christian in his heart would sacrifice EVERYTHING in order to reach the lost. The Word says it's blessed to be poor and to be humble. How are these things compatible with the desire to be wealthy?

  • don't like them.....pay no attention to them...because it's not your job to judge them...leave that to God...and you have the right to a personal opinion....that just doesn't always mean you have the right to give one....so I ask you kindly...leave them alone..

  • so people who don't know God can get to know him? I don't see what's wrong with having luxuriess if you're still going to bless God after he blesses you...and to me...true worship is when you praise God when he blesses you and praise God even when things go wrong...nbecause you know he'll get ou through it...and I've been watching all your videos..and I 'd just love to know...what gives YOU the right to judge this church? are you not a sinner? ...are you perfect? no I don't think so, so if you

  • I agree and dissagree with this....I see nothing wrong with praising God when you are blessed with a nice house, nice car, good job, nice clothes....God doesn't want us to be unhappy it says ask and you shall recieve..if you ask for a BMW I don't see why God shouldn't give it to you....because when God blesses us..it's not like we aren't going to bless him back by helping his people and that's what hillsong does...they help the poor and the needy, the help get their churches to other countries

  • what's the song in the background?

  • @NAR106 Oh my God by Jars of Clay

  • Of course we should not preach God as a lottery but you can't deny that God does not want us to be blessed financially and in many other ways. Of course we should pursue Him because He is more than enough but in the midst of all of that He will bless us as well!

  • May I know what is this song?

  • when u look for Gods hand in gimee gimee land seeking wealth..... thats what the video is sayin...not speakin about people succes.... but seaking wealth and worshipin wealth....its purely wrong to spread this heresy...Seek God wanting to know Him, not wanting money, u cant call it like it is, God calls the shots, not man, u are not mini gods, WAKE UP!

  • this message has some good points that hit me hard. however, i just hope this church doesn't turn into another westboro baptist.

  • This is sad....

  • Change to softer background music or remove it. Very disturbing.

  • Your best vid man!!!!

  • ummm...clearly you have been misinformed about faith churches - it's NOT about prosperity in things and finances - these are the lowest form of prosperity. Prosperity in God/in your soul is what counts and what is preached. We praise God no matter what the circumstances are, because He is God and is good no matter what. But we are in covenant with God, so blessings just come...you should really study covenant, and stop hating other believers :)

  • @emelia05

Hey dick for brains... do some research on Hillsong Church & then come back here & comment! You obviously don't know ANYTHING about their corruption or the way they preach Prosperity Gospel!

  • 1st of all - don't call me names, that completely invalidates anything you say.

2ndly, I go to a "faith" church, and know what is preached. The LOVE of GOD is always 1st, and is always the motive. We're big on evangelism and reaching out to the lost and broken world (which btw, takes money). Prosperity/blessings come in many different forms, just from being in a relationship with God. Prosperity (in money) is not the motive. Yah, some ppl have taken it too far, but that can go with anything

  • well, emelia05, you are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!! Money IS the motive for Brian Houston, the leader at Hillsong Church... It always has been. But you wouldn't know that because you turn a blind eye to the misdeeds of some Christians, which is a shame... I'll send you some information on Hillsong...

    watch?v=TlYEQ-svZDI

    watch?v=TlYEQ-svZDI

  • This is a fantastic little clip.

  • That's Jars of Clay, but what is the name of that song?

  • 1 Timothy 6:17

'Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.' i have no problem with Christians being wealthy, it seems in scripture that not only does God provide it but enjoys us having it. As far as preaching that to be 'the reason' to come to Christ,Hillsong does not do that.Maybe we should all go for a service there and see

  • I think "The Posperty Gospel" needs to be explaind, there were some extremest Christian groups in America that would preach that coming to christ and giving an offering wouldnt just be a "get out of hell free" card but that all your financial problems, all your sicknesses ,all your problems would dissapear, we ALL know thats a load of rubbish! so tying in "The prosperity Gospel" with any church that asks for an offering is a bit extreme, the bible commands those who are rich in this world..

  • It's so sad that people are blinded by the prosperity gospel...They make amazing festivals and music to attract people, and once they're in their grasp, they just want money money money money....

being a christian shouldn't be about getting rich and being powerful. It should be all about love, helping people and sharing with them etc... like the levellers(cf wikipedia).

They should really try to live in a community. Meaning as "communists" but not in the stallinist way if you know what I mean xD

  • So where do we draw the line at what is prosperity? If ou earn 30k p/a is that ok , or if you earn over 100kp/a should you then need to repent? i totaly agree with Ps John Piper, Jesus is most glorified when we choose to walk with in the depths of hardship or on the wings of an eagle, should i refuse a payrise at work for the sake of not being a "prosperity beleiver" all i know is the m ore i give God always seems to give back in abundants, is that why i give??? come on!

  • 1.Hi Wayne

I don't think it has anything to do with your income..

Wealth and prosperity has nothing to do with Gods favour..

Its the fact these prosperity liars are saying to the poorest..give us everything and they do in the hope of hitting the God lottery..and they say to the rich..give us 10% and we will make you feel that your rich because your a better person than the poor"

  • 2.They focus on giving and collecting more and more.. they create new needs so they can be Gods accountant and all the while supplementing own lifestyle and power.

These so called pastors use the church for their own personal gain..they may not take tithe money directly, but what they do is use it to market their own books and cds..then they invite the other purveyors of greed to speak at conferences and pay them a "love offering" of up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

  • 3.Then the Houston's turn around and tour the world collecting their share of "love offerings" ..this allows all these greedy liars to technically say..we take no money from our congregation..its all smoke and mirrors..

  • 4.Next time your at church ask them to see the accounts

You'll be told you must not have enough faith...

Ask what "love offerings" the Houston's receive while touring..

Once again you'll hit a dead end and be lucky not to get thrown out of church..

Wayne ask some questions and see their response..

Hillsong has a 50% turn over in membership every 5 Years.. these are people lost because there is no real substance to this so called church..its all emotion and no basis to their doctrines.

  • Agree, the Prosperity gospel is an heresy that the Church can do without.
