They even comment on it in the charity episode "Time Crash" where 10 says 5 was "his Doctor"

@RedheadDane a reference to the Doctor which Tennant grew up on. its no coincidence they are both that little bit more human and emotional than most of the other incarnations

nice tribute Gareth!.....that Peter Howell arrangement of the theme tune was the first one i heard when i was about 3 or 4 and it still raises the hairs on the back of my neck! shame JNT made Davison's Doctor have that stick of celery on his lapel!....still he was a good Doctor though after the over the top Tom Baker show era under Graham Williams! the best doctor though was Pat Troughton!

I like the 5th Doctor theme from Dr Who. He was probally my fifth favorite Doctor.
