  • @drumtravelfun - thanks for the comment.

"..." is Morse code for "S"

  • ...buddy i think neil young kinda beat u to that name....but i dont mind the song...its not bad....but i prefer neils verson

  • Thanks I realized after I recorded the song that Neil Young's song is similar - but they are not exact. Even when there are exact lyrical matches - many times the message or connotation is slightly different. Of course, the memories and images thought of while creating a song give it a unique vision too.

  • nice one.

  • thanks bsj, that Sean Penn video is interesting. Penn is an interesting person for doing the stuff he does - most people are too afraid to say what they think or to say anything controversial. See my top ten goals on my youtube web page to see my main goals, which include stopping violence, freeing the nonviolent, decrim drugs and prost, full free info, full democracy, telling about see, hear, send thought, teaching history of science, consent-only psychology, against antipleasurism, etc.

  • awesome, man

  • Thanks superc, I had a lot of fun making and recording this song. I still enjoy listening to it from time to time. It's interesting Neil Young wrote a song with a similar title. One day I walked by a girl and her smile turned into a frown and this song was born in my mind. I had thought about the idea of people turning smiles into frowns and it culminated into this song.

  • Ted, great song!

    Dave

  • THanks Dave, I hope everything is going well with your band. This was the first time I have really played drums for a song, it just takes some courage to try and fail. I tuned the drums to fifth tuning which makes them sound lower. I'm having fun with learning violin, cello - villins cost $100 now, its amazing.

  • ted, you are da' MAN! hope others are at least half as inspired as I am by this.

may you be provoked to genuine laughter 10 times today! P E A C E

  • thanks, that was so delicious!

  • Nice song!

  • thanks y2knp. I was walking by this group of young people and they were smiling and pleasant, then one guy said something rude and all the smiles turned to frowns, and the next day I thought..."damn...don't let them bring you down! Isn't it the method of people to beam crap onto your eyes designed to make you feel bad?". This was the first time I have recorded myself on drums. I have never had any formal lessons on drums, and where I live I have to record quickly because of the sound.
