Maybe this doesn't apply to everyone, but when I listen to "sad music", or whatever you'd like to call it, I relate my problems to the song and I remind myself of them to be sit and fit the mood of the song.
I feel bad for the guy in the crowd. I have a feeling he would have controlled himself better if he knew the camera was on him and recording every tear and pain stricken face he had. How humiliating must this be for him?
& it would be bloody good if their were more bands like this going around in this day & age. you cant say the same things anymore for the green days, u2's, The Killers & even bloody kings of leons anymore. cos those bands are know where near as humble & beautifully down to earth as BRMC.
ive seen them now twice, once in 2003 in Melbourne, & again in Bristol, England in 2007. & i must still maintain, there is not many bands around to see live where the band is so intimately close to there fans. my 2 fav bands are Oasis & BRMC, they are both true fans bands if you know what I mean.?
S'what musics all about especially this, just so gorgeous makes me think of all the good times. Amazing. Hats off to you crying man no better way to show how much you love em, i will be doing the same if this song is played on the 27th of april :)
Great, great song, but nobody else thinks that guy's reaction is a bit embarrassing? I know it'd be amazing to see this played live, but c'mon, man. Pull it together. haha
@jackjefe Meh, it depends, there are times where I have been so down and listened to this, almost makes you wanna tear up a bit, but then I remember, I'm still alive, what do I have to cry about? Brilliant band, brilliant performance, beautiful song!
@jackjefe I don't really find it embarrassing at all... the first time I heard this one I couldn't stop crying. And who knows, maybe the dude was just coming out of a complicated relationship or something, I mean, the lyrics really hit that spot.
This song is so so beautiful, I can understand why some people would get emotional during this performance..i get emotional just watching this video to be quite honest, it gives me chills too. Robert's voice is so beautiful and unique, i wish i could see them live someday soon.
When they came in Milan, in 2007, I arrived late - about at 9.30P.M., the concert started in time, at 9 - and they played TILL MIDNIGHT. FOUR HOURS CONCERT. When me and my friend went out, were euphorically shocked. I can't wait to see 'em live again.
Do you know the feeling you get when you hear something truly pure and beautiful? You know. When everything around you just stands still and disappears for a moment. Starring at the same spot on the wall just listening to the music, maybe thinking of the one(s) you love.
Just had one of those moments. And it was brought by one man and his guitar. Amazingly beautiful song!
Brought my girlfriend who had never heard them before (our third date) and this was her favorite. Said it brought tears to her eyes at the third verse, where Rob sings in an alternate pitch than the rest of the tune. Remarkable sense of harmony within himself on a solo - he really is a gifted (not great yet) singer.
MERVEILLEUX.

That dude doesn't look like a puss. I guess there was another reason for his crying apart from the song. I love this song =)

It was on Howl, they just had to cut it from the CD. That's why they made the Howl Sessions.

I'm glad it wasn't on Howl. The studio recording is no where near as good as it is live

Amazing this should have been on Howl
hoot1343 4 years ago
All the Howl sessions should have been on the album! They could have done a 2 cd album and it still would have been a masterpiece!
