I love it when people pull off Proxy Hatcheries into the main. It rarely works, but it's still fun to watch. I only wish you could see the other guy's face when he first sees that creep and just goes 'WTF?'

I think that what really decided whether or not your Proxy Hatch play worked was how you tricked him into thinking he prevented your expansion. That stopped him from looking for anything weird. When you got those first Roaches out, it was over.

been there, done that :-) proxy hatch got a lots of uses. from my humble experiance, yet cheesy-some - its better to build a queen right away as the proxy hatch pops. and make 1-2 spines. THEN make army. very funny and fun strat :-)

With this strategy you have to make spinecrawler and a queen in the cheesyhatch. You spread the creep and it's gg more quickly than your strategy.

apparently on maps with flowers on the ground (like Lost Temple), you can look at each spawn location and if the flowers are gone that means the zerg player is there (creep killed flowers). Tasteless and Artosis were talking about it at the gsl and how gsl had to make their own map w/o that mistake.
