  • BRADLEY TEMPLE COGIC (CLARKSDALE,MS) USED TO SING THIS. JACKIE THOMAS-STEVENSON WAS ON LEAD AND WE HAD STOMP DOWN CHURCH BACK THEN!

  • SANG ETHEL!!!!!

  • if you have not located this song, go to itunes, type in "been so good to me" and its under Rev. Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers. My church choir is doing this song once again and it still rocks. i used to sing it when i was a teenager. didn't think i still had it, but God is able.

  • What a awesome singer Ethel was.

  • @shadhom YES SHE WAS, I AGREE!!!!!

  • The Family Spiritual Singers sang this when it 1st came out and we killed it and Victorious Praise Sung it on our 4th anniversary and my aunt killed it

  • Looking for this CD even a copy would work. I am will to pay.

  • RIP ETHEL!!!!

  • My mama used to direct this song.....I'm going to have to reintroduce this to our state choir.....it's on and poppin now.....lol

  • I got to get a digital camera first to record it the nex time we reherse it but i'll let you know

  • Ethel tore this song up on that album,I can't wait to teach this song to the choir at my church

  • Thank you for teaching this type of music to your choir. There is definitely a musical age gap in gospel nowadays. It is good to see younger folks who are willing to listen to older songs. This song was so popular that Telma Hopkins sang it on an episode of Family Matters.

  • are you serious ,that's awesome ,yes I have a copy of this cd ,my church choir is also learning he cares.

  • you have got to have a very powerful soprano for that...please record and post it.

  • Thank you for this song. Its has been a blessing throughout the years.

  • @shardyshard22

Where did you get the CD?

  • Actually my wife loves this song, but I can't find the track online. I wish I could find it.

  • To my dearest aunte Ethel. its still hard to believe god have claimed another one of his Angels. I thank god for you and your traditional brand of gospel. I can remember when me and rejeaner moved here from Cleveland Mississipi, yes, our hometown and found you, and we were so thristy for some of that homestyle southern traditional gospel, and that we found in you. You were always so kind and quick to take us on your Sunday gospel outings. Your mom was the greatest.

  • WOW man my condolesces to you doc. I didn't know your aunt, I had heard her name several times, and i remember hearing this song growing up! GOD bless!

  • Can someone PLEASE upload the song IF I BE LIFTED!!!!

  • We used to sing this song all the time and have the LP.

  • this is the song that I her remember her most by...i was always in love with this song during it's release.

  • I just posted a comment asking about Ethel still living and I didn't know she died. I don't hear about a lot about these Gospel singers that have stopped recording.

  • sometimes i check out gospelflavadotcom or gospelcitydotcom to get the latest news about gospel artists. I just happened to check the sites out yesterday and found out about her death. she could blow those high notes with full chest voice!!! I'm not sure "how" she died though.

  • She did an album in the late 80's or early 90's called I Love The Lord and I'm still looking for that album. Thanks for the info.

  • We will NEVER forget you Ethel..

  • Rest Sis. Ethel. I'll see you in glory. Your legacy continues.
